Grateful Florals - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Altenew exclusive

 Good morning! I'm back to share a card using the next of the special STAMPtember collaborations throughout the month! Each collaboration is with one of your favorite companies, is limited edition, and only available while supplies last. When it's gone, it's gone! Today's special release is from Altenew:

This lovely floral image was just calling out to be watercolored, so I pulled out my Altenew watercolors, stamped up my images, and had fun coloring! I originally stamped them off the edge of a panel of watercolor paper, thinking I would keep the card one layer. In the end, I die cut each partial piece of the flower, and then popped them up on my finished card. I actually really love how that worked! I used some Spellbinders colored cardstock, and SSS A2 Scalloped Rectangles to create a fun scallop layer - so lacy and pretty! I popped my florals up with foam adhesive, added my stamped and die cut sentiments, and embellished with a few Trinity Stamps Clear Twinkle Rhinestones for some extra sparkle! Rooting For You Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm here with a sweet little trio of cards featuring a newer stamp set from Simon Says Stamp that I hadn't put to use, and some fun plaid backgrounds and borders!

The Rooting for You set is sooo cute and fun! And I had these Lawn Fawn pattern papers and Delicate Stitched Borders actually on hand and prepped for something else I was working on, but ended up going a different direction. They were perfect for these cards though! I started off by stamping and watercoloring all my images with Altenew watercolors. Once they dried, I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I layered up my pattern paper and borders on my cardbases, using foam adhesive for the borders, and tucking the largest image a bit under the border so it was peeking out. Sentiments were stamped and hand trimmed into little banners, and then a few Simple Stories enamel dots finish these off! Here is a closer look at all the fun:

Happy Snarky Father's Day - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! Today, in honor of Father's Day, I have a couple of fun and snarky cards for Dad! A bit of an explanation - my Dad LOVES any cards I've made with some of these snarky sayings, and always tells me I need to make more of those. And has some my mom had given him in the past that he still has. So...I specifically made these because I know he will absolutely love them. And while I'm sharing them actually on Father's Day - these sentiments are super versatile for those friends that just love something funny like this! Omit the "dad" and switch that out to "friend", "sister", "brother" - or whatever, and you can still have fun with them! All these supplies for these two cards are from Simon Says Stamp! 

For these cards, I started off with the Hip Hip Hooray set, and the Round of Appaws set. I stamped them both with Nocturne ink on watercolor paper, then colored them in with Altenew watercolors. Once they were done, I die cut with the coordinating dies. I arranged the images on my white cardbases, and planned where to stamp my sentiments using Playful Messages and Papa stamp sets. I used my MISTI to add the sentiments, then before adhering the critters, I added a simple little bit of grounding underneath each one with some warm gray Copic markers. I then added them each with foam adhesive! Here is a closer look at these:

Watercolor Tulips Love You Mom - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! Today I'm sharing a couple more cards using an older stamp set from Simon Says Stamp - but paired up with some new watercolors and a lovely paint palette I recently purchased! 

I don't do a ton of watercoloring - and definitely wouldn't call myself an expert. But I do find it SOOO relaxing and fun! When I saw the gorgeous Petal Palette from Altenew, I just knew it would be a lovely addition to my craft room. I also grabbed the Altenew 36 pan watercolor set, and an Altenew brush set. Then I pulled out this lovely Mother's Day Tulips stamp set - it has such a large and gorgeous bloom, perfect for painting! I stamped it with Nocturne ink - which is so great for watercoloring, and for getting a lovely stamped image on watercolor paper. Then I just enjoyed taking my time and painting these beauties. Once they finished and dried, I added sentiments from the same stamp set, and then trimmed down some Spellbinders colored cardstock that coordinated, and popped those strips up with foam on the side of the panel. Finished off with a few Trinity Stamps Bubble Blow Out embellishments that reminded me of dew drops on real flowers. Here are more photos of these two finished cards:
