Grateful Florals - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Altenew exclusive

Good morning! I'm back to share a card using the next of the special STAMPtember collaborations throughout the month! Each collaboration is with one of your favorite companies, is limited edition, and only available while supplies last. When it's gone, it's gone! Today's special release is from Altenew:

This lovely floral image was just calling out to be watercolored, so I pulled out my Altenew watercolors, stamped up my images, and had fun coloring! I originally stamped them off the edge of a panel of watercolor paper, thinking I would keep the card one layer. In the end, I die cut each partial piece of the flower, and then popped them up on my finished card. I actually really love how that worked! I used some Spellbinders colored cardstock, and SSS A2 Scalloped Rectangles to create a fun scallop layer - so lacy and pretty! I popped my florals up with foam adhesive, added my stamped and die cut sentiments, and embellished with a few Trinity Stamps Clear Twinkle Rhinestones for some extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at this finished card:

Florals and Gray Tones - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a card that I created over the weekend - inspired by a pretty image on Pinterest, and recreated using a pretty die from Simon Says Stamp that was a PERFECT fit for my inspiration! You can see my inspiration photo HERE - and here is the result:

I was so pleased with how this card came out! Using a gray background wasn't something that crossed my mind until I saw that lovely image on Pinterest. And I knew this Beautiful Branch die was a perfect fit! I used Earl ink to blend a rectangle die cut with one of the A2 Rectangles dies, and then die cut the leaf and florals with Spellbinders cardstock and white cardstock for the flowers. I popped that panel up with foam on a panel of white cardstock, then mounted that entire piece on a cardbase created with Fog cardstock - the two tones of gray are lovely together! I finished off with some clusters and singles of the smallest size Opal Gems, and a sentiment from Reverse I See You EZ Strips sentiment strips. Here is a closer look at this finished card:

I so love how this card turned out! I used lots of the new release to create it - and the colors and die cut layers just make me happy! :) I started off by die cutting the leaves and flowers from the Beautiful Branch die a couple times from various Spellbinders colored cardstock. I also die cut the Dual Diamonds die, and while I didn't use the internal pieces, I love how it also creates a lovely lattice background! I blended some Zest ink in two corners of my white cardbase, then layered that lattice over the top. I then tucked the branch and flowers into the lattice and adhered it with liquid glue. To make the flowers pop a little extra - I added some of the new Starbright Embellishments to the center of the flowers - they are the perfect size for that! I added a sentiment from Handlettered Encouragement set, popped up with thin foam strips. And then because it felt like it needed a little something extra, I pulled out the Confetti Butterfly embossing folder and die, and die cut then embossed the smaller butterfly. I ink blended some Zest and Watermelon ink on the butterfly, then added the center cut from black cardstock. Finished off with some sparkly Glitter Drops on the butterfly! Here are more photos of the finished card including close up shots of all the little details:

Pastel Daisy Wishes - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I've got a sweet trio of daisy cards to share using a couple of fun newer dies from Simon Says Stamp! I just love this new floral die, and it's especially fun on these pastel shades of cardstock!

I started off by die cutting all the layer for the the Tilted Daisies die 3 times, and assembling together the flowers. I die cut the Sweet word die 3 times from yellow cardstock, and 3 times from white cardstock, adhering them together slightly offset for a shadow effect. I then cut panels of colored cardstock, layered them with foam adhesive on white cardbases, and added my flowers and large word die. I stamped the secondary sentiment with Big Botanicals stamp set in Cheeky, Marine, and Sprout inks to coordinate with the cardbases, and then trimmed into strips with a diagonal edge to adhere under the larger sentiment. Added some coordinating Dazzling Gems in Bubblegum, Surf, and Sprout, and then some splatters using White Splatter Medium. To get a more controlled splatter effect, I used the rounded tip on my Score and Embellishment Wand to dip in and drop onto the cards. I varied the size, and tried to add them randomly - and I love the effect and how it worked! Here are more photos of this finished trio:

Dimensional Birdhouse Card - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

Good morning! I'm back today with another card using the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! This card has a heavy focus on die cutting, and LOTS of layers and dimension!

I love how perfectly the Scalloped Circles dies work with the Basic Circles dies - leaving an adorable little fringe around the edges, perfect for layering! The Dainty Dotted Daisies embossing folder is also a favorite, with the perfect texture for a subtle background. I also used the new Cozy Birdhouse die set, and cut it from Cream and Kraft cardstocks, plus a touch of pink for the hearts. The Leaf Flourish die provided a layer of texture at the top, cut from Champagne glitter cardstock and once from brown - I did cut the glitter one apart to tuck in at different angles. I added some Lawn Fawn white twine, sentiments from For the Birds set, some glitter drops on the hearts, and a few Dazzling Gems in Peachy to finish it off! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Shaped Circle Birdies Card - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

Good morning! I'm stopping by today with yet another card using the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! This time, I created a cute shaped card with lots of die cutting!

The little Birdies die is full of elements to build adorable birds - and I love the included branch for them to rest on! I used some Spellbinders cardstock to cut all the elements out, and assembled the birdies. Next, I created a shaped card using another favorite from this release - Scalloped Circles dies. I scored a line on the back circle, added the front one with liquid adhesive, and let dry. This allows the card to open nicely, but still look pretty on the front! To add some interest to the top, I used the cloud masks from Mountainscape stencil set, adhering them with a loop of low tack tape, then ink blended Seafoam ink over the top. This added a soft sky effect which was fun! I adhered the branch and birdies, then stamped my sentiments from Wildflower Cuttings stamp set. Finished off with a looped bow using Rose Gold Metallic Cord, and a bunch of tiny Clear Dazzling Gems adhered on the cute birdies wings to give them a touch of sparkle!
