With a Grateful Heart - Memory Box

Good morning! I'm back today to share one more card with some of the fun new dies and stamps from Memory Box that I received recently to play with - so many beautiful Valentine and love themed items! I've used a couple more of these beautiful dies to work on this card today!

I started off by die cutting the beautiful Leafy Heart craft die from gold glitter cardstock.

Next, I die cut the large Heart Airy Script die from white cardstock, and layered two fo them together for a bit of a thicker word embellishment.

I added 3 strips of colored cardstock to a white horizontal cardbase to add a pop of color to help that large word show up on the background.

I adhered all the layers together, and added a supporting sentiment by using a portion of one of the sentiments from Grateful Autumn, heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock.

Here is the video for this card - you can also watch it on YouTube HERE and check out my other videos if you want to see more:

I used 3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks - Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, and Lucky Clover - to create an ink blended background. I then used the center part of the die to create a stencil and apply embossing paste through it and over the inked panel.

The outer portion of the die was used to create a window, and mounted with foam adhesive over the top.

I carefully adhered a few Pearl White Jewels into the centers of the flowers to add a bit of extra sparkle.

And finally, adhered one of the super fun new CZ Design Reverse Sentiment Strips - Miss You over the center of the heart!

Friend Like You Bouquet - Pinkfresh Facebook Live Cards

Good morning! Yesterday was our weekly Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live! If you missed the Live video and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - yesterday's video is available HERE. As always, there was one giveaway for someone who watched live, so make sure and pop in each week to win that live giveaway - 10 AM Pacific time on Thursday morning!

*NOTE: next week we will not have a normally scheduled Facebook Live on Thursday since I will be in Phoenix for Creativation - but plan on keeping an eye on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page since I will try to pop in once or twice and give you a look at the booth and new releases there!*

I also always try to post info here the next day on the card we make - for those that aren't on Facebook or maybe didn't see it over there. This week we created a simple card featuring lots of die cutting and a bit of heat embossing for this lovely floral bouquet!

I love the versatility of the gorgeous Partial Cut Bouquet and a Bow die set - for this, we did some creative trimming to be able to layer the bouquet over colored cardstock, and also to fill in the bouquet a bit more.

The background was die cut using Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles from Sea Glass Cardstock, and a sentiment heat embossed on some kraft cardstock from Through the Trees stamp set.

Finished off with some sparkle from the Essentials: Jewels Mix in the center of the flowers!

Congrats Baby Turtle Card - Simon Says Stamp Hey Bestie Release

Hello! I'm stopping by with a card AND video using the brand new Hey Bestie Release from Simon Says Stamp! I'm using one of the new stamp sets and dies to create this fun one layer card using a bit of masking, inking, and coloring!

Here is the video for this card - you can also watch it on YouTube HERE and check out my other videos if you want to see more:

First I planned my layout, then stamped the main image and covered it with masking paper.

I used the negative heart from the new Shimmer Heart Die as a mask to do some two tone shading on the background of my white cardbase. I also added some white paint splatters.

Then it was a simple matter of peeling off the masks, adding the stamped sentiments, and coloring the image in with Copic markers!

You can check out the entire new release HERE, or click the image below!

Rustic Hello Birthday Girl - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! As we come oh so close to another new release from Simon Says Stamp, I thought I would take this opportunity to share a card that I actually made last month with some leftover bits and pieces I had on my desk from THIS card from a release last month! I love how it all came together to create this card:

The center oval is from the Shimmer Oval Wafer Die - it is the negative piece of the outer stitched edges. I die cut the CZ Design Hello Die from that oval, then die cut it from the pattern paper and inlaid the die cut and the the white pieces back into the centers of the letters. I added a small heat embossed sentiment from the CZ Design Hello You Stamp Set as well.

Next, I created some of those layers! I used a strip of the same Photoplay pattern paper, layered over some white paper with a torn edge, and some kraft paper with some white paint splatters and a pretty scallop edge die cut with Scallop Stitches Wafer Die

Tied some black jute string around that panel, then mounted with foam adhesive over the background of more pattern paper, and mounted the front oval with foam adhesive as well. This is a thick bumpy card - total of 3 layers of foam adhesive at one place or another! So definitely best for hand delivery! :)

Reverse Confetti January Release Blog Hop - Craftiness is Happiness

Good morning! It's time! The NEW January Release is live at Reverse Confetti - and the DT (and some special guests!) are hopping with even more inspiration for you!

Today I'm sharing this card with a stamped background I created - and LOTS of Copic coloring!

For this card, I used the adorable new Crafty Critters stamp set - but instead of using the critters, I used all the smaller elements in the stamp set to stamp out a background. I started off by clustering the four little images together, stamping them, then continuing to arrange them around , stamp, then move again - until I had covered my entire background.

Next, I just took my time and had fun coloring them in with Copics. Once I had colored each of the little images in, I used two shades of blue Copics to color around the images and turn the background blue. I used the lighter shade to color everything, then the darker shade to add shadows aroun each image. While it took a while to color everything in, I was so happy with how it came out!

Finally, I heat embossed a sentiment from the same set on Midnight cardstock, trimmed it into a thin strip, then mounted with foam adhesive over the background, tucking a bundle of gold thread underneath. Finished off with a few sparkly clear sequins tucked around the sentiment, then mounted on a white cardbase, leaving an ever so tiny border around the outside edges to make it pop.

Here is a peek at the new product I used that released today!
