VBS project...

Just really quickly wanted to share a project I made last week! It was a special order for someone doing a VBS program with their church. I had a friend come over and help me, and we put together 60 of these cute little airplanes and banners! The airplane is from Pop-up Neighborhood, the banner is from New Arrival, and all the paper is Authentique - mixed and matched different colors. I also added a bit of glossy accents to the propeller and wheels!

That's it! Just a bunch of pictures! Enjoy your day and weekend!

Baby Card!!!

Making a very hasty post tonight! I sat down to tackle some challenges, and started with the ones that ended the soonest...didn't realize until I was almost done, that one of them ends TONIGHT!!! So...I wanted to hurry and post before I went to bed - hence the still wet Stickles on the card!

The first challenge (that ends tonight) is over at Scrappy Mom's Stamps Terrific Tuesdays - New Arrival. The second challenge is over at The Creative Cutter Room - to use ribbon, a circle, glitter, and the color yellow.

For the card, all cuts came from New Arrival. I added a Peachy face to the baby, some faux stitching, a stamped sentiment from Scrappy Mom's stamps, and ran the ribbon around the edges of the shaped card. I never even realized that New Arrival had such a card on it! Finished off with some stick on pearls in the corners. It's not my favorite card, but I think I will like it better when the Stickles dry too!

Baby Shower invites

A friend and I got together day before yesterday to make 30 baby shower invitations. After my last experience, and trying to keep things simple, I am SOOO happy with how these came out!!! I think they look super cute, and it only took us about 3 1/2 hours together to make all 30 of them! And part of that time was spent chasing all four of our kids around when they needed it! So they were pretty quick and easy, and yet I still think they are perfect!

The baby his blankie were cut from New Arrival, and we added a cute Peachy keen face. Did some stitching around the edge of the card and the blanket, and used some Baker's Twine to tie on a cute little footprint charm that I happened to have in my stash. Finished off with a sentiment from Pink by Design, and then printed off our info for the baby shower, and attached it to the back of the cards (they were postcard style). Thanks for looking, and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Sweetheart Blog Hop!!!

Baby boy card or invite

Good morning! My best friend came over the other day to make baby shower invitations for her sister-in-law. Since she only needed to make 12, we decided they could be a little more elaborate than we would normally do for a large number. NOTE TO SELF: 12 invitations can still be a lot!!! Anyway, I think they came out really cute anyway! The first one is what we originally came up with, and then changed our mind a little, so the second one is what we actually ended up going with for the invitations. I'm saving the first one for a baby card though anyway!

The train came from New Arrival, and the banner cut on the first one is from Give a Hoot - resized on my Gypsy. The stamp on the first one is from a Pink by Design stamp set, the second one is from something in my stash...not sure what it was from. We added some ribbon for the tracks, LOTS of inking and some doodling.

Sweet baby

I love how this card came out! My only regret is that I made it HUGE - 6x6, since I had just gotten some envelopes that size. However...I didn't take into account the fact that it should have been slightly smaller to allow it to fit INTO the envelope until I was all finished! So...it will just have to either have no envelope, or just slip in one of the clear sleeves (which it does fit in fortunately!)

I started off with the umbrella from New Arrival, and added a Peachy Keen face from the Princess face assortment. The background shape came from Lacey Labels, and cut a circle out of the center and ran it through the Cuttlebug. Added some stick on pearls, LOTS of faux stitching, a bit of inking to the umbrella, some ribbon, and a stamped sentiment from my stash. Oh yeah...also pop-dotted the umbrella and the sentiment from the background.

Thanks for looking - and have a great day!
