PK Celebrate Christmas Blog Hop

Good morning! I'm excited to be hopping with my alumni friends and the 2013 team over at Peachy Keen Stamps this morning! You should have arrived here from Michelle - if not, you might want to check the entire line-up at the bottom of this post...I know there will be tons of inspiration, and one pretty fabulous prize!

I pulled out my favorite Peachy Keen Christmas set - the November 2012 Kit of the Month to make my card - using a technique I was inspired by on THIS post at Paper Crafts Connection to stamp two layers of vellum, then stack them together!

Here is a small picture of this kit - I love the deer! But I also wanted to use one of the adorable sentiments, and that leafy branch stamp - there is always so much fun variety in these sets, and for such a great deal! You really just can't go wrong!

I started off by stamping the deer on one piece of vellum, as well as the branches in darker ink. I colored the sweet deer in with my Copic markers. I layered another piece of vellum over the top, and stamped the branch in a lighter green ink.

The ink I used was MFT dye ink - and the trick, I found, was to use my heat gun and thoroughly dry it before touching it! That was the only way I could find to get it not to smear! For the deer, I used black Staz-on ink.

I stamped the sentiment on the front layer, then attached them together, before adding a strip of Avery Elle woodgrain paper on each side, and attaching it to a card back. The front kind of looks like a stained glass window - love the effect it gave!

You're next stop on the hop is the amazing Gigi

Don't forget to leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win the giveaway! Comments will be accepted until Midnight Central December 1st! Thanks for stopping by - and have a wonderful weekend!

SPS August Blog Hop - Sunshine!

Good morning! Since it is the first Saturday of August, it is time for the monthly blog hop with Shop Pumpkin Spice! I am the first stop on the hop today, so keep hopping along to see what the rest of the design team has prepared for today!

Our theme for the hop, as well as for the weekly challenge you can join in on, is Sunshine! Here is what I made:

Did you know that Shop Pumpkin Spice also has an Ebay store? (Check it out HERE) There are some different things carried there, and many items have free shipping as well. I used two different My Mind's Eye paper pads that are available in the Ebay store - Kate and CO - Oxford Lane, and Kate and CO - Cambridge Court. I also used some Kate and CO - Cambridge Court enamel dots

I used my Silhouette Cameo, as well as my Studio Designer Edition Software to cut out the sunburst.

I added a Peachy Keen face to the sunshine, as well as using some distress marker to add the cheeks on. I used Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle dies to make the stitch lines on the cardbase, and Lil' Inker's stamps to add the sentiment.

I am also linking this up to the current Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

Thanks for stopping by today! You're next stop is Missy! Here is the entire blog hop line-up in case you get lost along the way:

Feel Better Soon

Good morning! Just wanted to share a fun card using several of the new releases from My Craft Spot:

I can promise you are going to see lots more using this beautiful 4" Metal Doily Die:

I also used some Ivory Jute Twine from My Craft Spot to tie my bow:

I stamped the large band-aids and the circle sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, and stamped a Peachy Keen Face in the center of the circle sentiment. The inks were Versamagic - a perfect mint color, and that fun peach color. Those are two of my current favorite colors!

Doily was cut with white cardstock, sequins are from Neat and Tangled, and background paper is by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super wonderful 4th of July!!!

Good morning! I'm so excited today to be hopping with my Peachy Keen friends again today! If you just arrived from Dobea Alberts, then you are in the right place - if not, make sure and head over to Peachy Keen to find all the details and start at the beginning.

We are celebrating spring with the current and alumni PKS Design Team. Half of us will be hopping today, and the other half next week on the 25th! There are prizes for each day - so make sure and leave comments along the hop for your chance to win! Check out all the details, and find the blog hop order on the Peachy Keen Blog, just in case you get lost or there are any glitches along the way! I made 3 projects for the hop today - here is the first one:
I used my Silhouette Cameo and a file from the online store to cut out my cute puddle and boots, then added a face from the Sweet and Silly Face Assortment - I LOVE them so much!

Added some Mister Huey's Spray mist, some clear sequins, lots of Glossy Accents, some May Arts ribbon and twine, and a sentiment from My Craft Spot.
I also used my Silhouette Cameo and the same face assortment for my second card:
Inked the edges of my paper with distress ink, used my white gel pen and some Copics to enhance the faces, a few sequins, sentiment from My Craft Spot, and pop dots on some of the layers to add dimension.
For the last card, I just let my PKS stamps shine:
I used Flower Power Frame for my background, stamped with MFT red ink:
And then stamped sweet Natalee in brown Versamark ink:
Finished off with a sentiment from My Craft Spot, some Copics for the cheeks, a bit of distress ink, some May Arts sheer stitched ribbon, and a bit of bling for the flower centers.
That's it for me today! Thanks so much for hopping by today! Your next stop is Heidi Giebel who will have something amazing to show you I know!!! Remember to leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win today's prize!

You BRIGHTEN my day!!!

(((If you're looking for my Sweet Stamp Shop New Release Post, click HERE or scroll down)))

Hi there! I felt inspired - for some reason or another! - to make a bright and happy card for this weeks Peachy Keen Anything Goes Challenge! It's pretty bright - so you've been warned! Here it is:
I started off with the rainbow from the February 2012 Monthly Kit. I covered each row one at a time with Glossy Accents, and then sprinkled on neon Martha Stewart Glitter. I left it plenty of time to dry, before fussy cutting it out.
The background is the Peachy Keen Cloudy Day Background. I inked it up with Versamark ink, then with Tim Holtz blue ink, before stamping and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. LOVE the fun shiny look that gave it!
Next, I cut the clouds out using a Lil' Inkers Die. I layered them on the rainbow, then attached to the cloud background with foam adhesive, before covering the clouds with Glossy Accents and more glitter.
Finished off with a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Stamps on a hand trimmed banner, and added a Tim Holtz paper clip and some bling on the bottom.
Finally, I attached the entire thing to a green cardbase with foam adhesive!

Thanks for stopping by to see my BRIGHT card! Hope it brightened your day!

Peachy Keen New Release Challenge #2 - Monochromatic

Hello again! Here is my card for the second Peachy Keen new release challenge - make a monochromatic card:
It was so hard to not add any color to that sweet bird - but I managed to hold off and just add a little white gel pen on the eyes!
I used a Spellbinder's Die to cut the frame shape, and inked the edges of each layer with coordinating distress ink.
My papers are some older My Mind's Eye ones from my stash.
I attached the frame with foam adhesive, and finished off with some crinkle ribbon, jute twine (surprise!), and an October Afternoon button.
Thanks for stopping by again! I will see you again soon!

Peachy Keen Release Challenge #1 - Dots and Stripes

Good evening! I've got a busy day tomorrow and was afraid I wouldn't have time to get these posted then - so I'm posting this evening! This is my card for the first of the Peachy Keen new release challenge - use dots and stripes on one card:
I sometimes love stamping some of the cute Peachy Keen images and not coloring them in at all! I think it makes them look so cute!
These were some random papers in my stash - and I have no idea where they are from, although I'm pretty sure the pink is by Crate Paper?
I also added some older lace trim that I had in my stash, and the ever present jute twine tied with an October Afternoon button!
Inked all of my layers with coordinating distress ink to finish them off.
I know there is still time to enter this month's challenges! Hope you go check them out and play along - there are great prizes!

My Craft Spot - Valentine's for Kids

Good morning! Happy Monday - hope you had a wonderful weekend! I'm excited to share with you my inspiration for this weeks challenge at My Craft Spot - Valentine's for Kids
I used Sweet Sentiments - Set #1 for my project, as well as some Natural Jute Twine.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut my pillow box, using some older Basic Grey papers from my stash.
I also cut out that sweet kitty, inked all the edges with grey ink, and added a Peachy Keen face to her - LOVE those kitty faces!
I used some Copic marker and white gel pen to add to the face, and then applied Glossy Accents to the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Attached a doily to the pillow box, wrapped the jute twine around, tied on the sentiment, then tied a bow and attached an October Afternoon button. Finally, attached the kitty over the top of all that!
I also used this weeks color inspiration from Peachy Keen Stamps:

Well...thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will hop on over to My Craft Spot and join us this week! Have a great week!
