Good morning! Stopping by today with a couple cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - do you ever have those moments where you sit down to make one type of card, and end up with something entirely different? Well, that is what happened with these cards! They were supposed to be Christmas cards - and instead ended up becoming birthday cards!
I started off with some Christmas pattern paper, and die cut it with a Nested Circle die. Since I chose a double sided paper, I folded one edge over to reveal the complimentary pattern. I added some jute twine and a criss crossed tiny staple to attach the twine and hold the fold in place. Those were popped up with foam adhesive on a white cardbase. I added some greenery using Lush Leaves die and some satin Honey Gold cardstock, tucking part of the design under the circle. Finished off with some stamped sentiments from Birthday Basics that I had sitting near my desk still from a couple other cards I made late last week. A couple of rounded corners, and a few tiny gems finish these cards off! Here are more photos:
