We're better together...

Whew! We just got back the end of last week from vacation - and I still feel like I am trying to catch up! We went to Idaho and visited Silverwood Theme Park - what a FUN vacation! My daughters loved it - at the age of 8 and almost 7, they were braver than me!!! They wanted to go on all the scary rides! Kind of funny!

Anyway, I really  missed my crafty stuff...so I managed to spend a few minutes over the weekend playing a bit! My July KOTM from Unity Stamp Co came right before we left on vacation, so I didn't have much time to play before we left - and really wanted to ink up these cute little bees! I stamped them (and the sentiment) on kraft paper, colored with a yellow Copic and a red Prismacolor marker, and added some doodling with my white gel pen. Rounded the corners, inked the edges of all the paper - and easy peasy card!

Patches of Pink - Red, White, and Blue challenge!!!

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for another Link-up party with Patches of Pink - and the montly Design Team post for July! This month, the challenge is to make anything with the colors red, white, and blue. It doesn't have to be patriotic, just use those colors!

To me, those colors just scream SUMMER!!! So...since I recently won 25 stamps from Unity Stamps, I decided to ink up my FAVORITE of the ones I received! I stamped it with Tim Holtz distress ink, did a little coloring with a red Prismacolor marker, attached a bit of bling to the center with my Jolee's heat set tool, and added some glossy accents for some shine. The sentiment is also from Unity Stamps, and I covered it with Glossy Accents as well. The edges of the main image I rounded with my Martha Stewart corner rounder, and the edges of EVERYTHING were inked with two different colors of Tim Holtz distress ink. To finish it off, I added a button and a bit of jute cord.

So...now is the perfect opportunity for you to go join the party! Go visit Patches of Pink and link up your red, white, and blue creation!

Love ewe...

A simple quick card today using one of my favorite Unity Stamps - and I hadn't even used it yet! So...I am entering this in the Stamps not used challenge over at All Things Unity.

I stamped this image in black on white cardstock, used my one and only copic, shadow blue, to outline the curls of fleece, then used a Prismacolor marker to color the face. Also dipped my finger in some light pink stamping ink, and rubbed some rosy cheeks onto the sheep! Finished off by using the wide end of the Copic marker to outline the edges of the white cardstock, and the blue base of the card, and added a bit of ribbon.

One last Mother's Day card...

Okay, I know Mother's Day is over, but I have ONE last card to share! This is the card I made for my Grandmother - she will be 97 years old in July! She has ALWAYS loved strawberries, so I used one of my favorite Unity Itty Bitties to make a card for her. I stamped it on a plain white card, rounded the edges, colored it with my Prismacolor Markers, added a few tiny dots with my white gel pen, and covered the strawberry with Glossy Accents. The picture doesn't show the Glossy Accents very well - I had trouble getting a good picture - but it makes the strawberry look SOOOO juicy!!! Finished up with a sentiment from Emma's My Creative Time stamps (also with a bit of Glossy Accents on it) and a bit of red ribbon.

Balloons, balloons, balloons!!!

The other day I saw a card by Emily Leiphart on her blog Art from the Heart that totally inspired these cards! Click on the link to go see her card - SOOO pretty! This was a bit of a stretch for me to keep these as simple as I did...it was so tempting to start embellishing more...but I managed to restrain myself from trying to add too much to them!

Anyway, I just stamped the bike and sentiment from Unity Stamps on a plain white card, colored only the balloons in a solid color, then covered the balloons with Glossy Accents. Finished off with a bit of Baker's Twine on the side. LOVE how simple and clean these are!

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge - absolutely Fab-ulous!!!

It's sketch time again over at Peachy Keen Stamps! Here is my take on the sketch! I don't know what I am going to do for an envelope - since this card is 4 x 8!!! Kind of came out huge...but I just couldn't figure out how to fit everything on it that I wanted to and still make it any smaller! Would make a great gift card holder...so maybe it just doesn't need an envelope!!!

I used Laffy Taffy faces, and Unity Stamps for the crowns. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamps. Added lots of doodling, a bit of coloring with my Prismacolor markers, and some ink for eye shadow and blush! Finished off with a bit of Baker's Twine for a bow.

Love branch

Just a quick card I made the other day. I'm trying to use glitter a little more in my cards, so I'm still figuring out the best way to do that! All the stamps are from Unity Stamps (surprise, surprise!), and I colored the heart and branch with my Prismacolor markers. Inked the edges, added glitter, and finished with a bit of Baker's Twine.

Lots of Unity Stamp goodness!

If you are looking for the Sweethearts Blog Hop either scroll down or click HERE. I will be drawing a winner for my little giveaway on Monday morning!

Sigh...I just love my Unity stamps! Here are just a couple of cards that I have made in the last day or two with some of them. The last two cards (I couldn't pick one!) are for the All Things Unity Challenge . They actually all would qualify, since I only used Unity Stamps on all of these, but I used the first one for something else, so I just counted the last 2!

The first one I posted on Splitcoast Stampers for the Unity Stamp Co. Friends with Flair Friday. Stamped the same image over and over in alternating colors, stamped and matted a sentiment, and added some Bakers Twine and faux stitching.

The next one I tried out the one Prismacolor marker that I have for the blue edging, and colored the rest in with my Prismacolor pencils. Added some Bakers Twine and ribbon from my stash.

On the last one, I stamped the butterfly 3 times on different colored cardstock, cut them out, added a little highlighting with my white gel pen, and pop-dotted them from the card. Added another stamp in the background, some ribbon, and a bit of doodling around the edges.
