Favorite Floral Frame - Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release

Good morning! I've got a card to share again today with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release! This time I'm featuring one of the new embossing folders - it is such a pretty one!

I started off by embossing the new Fun Floral Frame 3D embossing folder on white cardstock. I then used the reverse side, or debossed side, to ink blend with Canary and Ballet inks softly around the edges. This makes those florals just pop! I added a sentiment from the You 2 set, heat embossing the larger sentiment and die cutting it to pop up with foam, and stamping the secondary sentiment directly on the panel. I colored in the heart on the larger sentiment with a Copic marker, and added lots of bling to the flowers. I wanted a pop of bold black - I'm not entirely sure how I feel about adding them to the center of the flowers, but I think it is a fun effect! Just different from what I'm used to! I used some of the tiniest Black Dazzling Gems, then added medium sized ones to some of the flowers in Butter and Bubblegum. Finished off with a good bit of Tonic Glitter drops on Blizzard on the heart on the large sentiment, as well as on each of the flowers on the frame. Here is a closer look at all the sparkle:

I so love how this card turned out! I used lots of the new release to create it - and the colors and die cut layers just make me happy! :) I started off by die cutting the leaves and flowers from the Beautiful Branch die a couple times from various Spellbinders colored cardstock. I also die cut the Dual Diamonds die, and while I didn't use the internal pieces, I love how it also creates a lovely lattice background! I blended some Zest ink in two corners of my white cardbase, then layered that lattice over the top. I then tucked the branch and flowers into the lattice and adhered it with liquid glue. To make the flowers pop a little extra - I added some of the new Starbright Embellishments to the center of the flowers - they are the perfect size for that! I added a sentiment from Handlettered Encouragement set, popped up with thin foam strips. And then because it felt like it needed a little something extra, I pulled out the Confetti Butterfly embossing folder and die, and die cut then embossed the smaller butterfly. I ink blended some Zest and Watermelon ink on the butterfly, then added the center cut from black cardstock. Finished off with some sparkly Glitter Drops on the butterfly! Here are more photos of the finished card including close up shots of all the little details:

Citrus Shine card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a bright and shiny card to share - using a die that I actually have had for a while, and never got a chance to use from Simon Says Stamp - paired with some other supplies to finish the card off.

I started by cutting out several of the Citrus Slices die from Green Apple cardstock, and the solid layer from Shimmer Vellum, then layering them and gluing together. For the background, I used some watercolor paper, and used ink cubes in Celery and Limelicious to swipe down from the top of the panel, then misted with water, and let the colors run a bit. I smooshed some Pearfection on a clear block, picked it up with a wet brush, and added some additional splatters for texture. Once it was dry, I layered all the lime slices over top, adhering with liquid glue. I let some hang off the edges of the panel, and trimmed off the excess, reusing the trimmed off pieces as I was able. Sentiment is You Brighten My Day wafer die, cut from white for the shadow layer, then the main layer once each from Green Apple and black cardstock. I adhered those two layers together slightly offset for a shadow effect to make the words pop a bit extra. I added a tiny secondary sentiment over the top from Reverse Sunshine and Rainbows sentiment strips. Then it was time to add some shine! I covered the centers of the lime slices with Blizzard Glitter Drops, and the outside edges of each one - and the main sentiment - with Crystal Glaze. Gave that lots of time to dry thoroughly, then added a twine bow at the top with Black and White Baker's Twine. Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Candles and Embossing Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a couple of simple birthday cards featuring embossed backgrounds and the same birthday candle die from Simon Says Stamp - and I love the combination, and how simple these are. Perfect for when you need a quick birthday card at short notice!

These were even quicker to make, because I had the unused embossed cardstock panels, and the previously die cut and unused candles - so it was mostly assembly, and choosing some sentiments and embellishments! The two embossed backgrounds are Kaleidoscope embossing folder on Steel cardstock, and Floating Flowers on Honey cardstock. The candles were die cut using Sparkling Candles wafer dies. I used the solid version on one card, and the more intricate ones on the other. Sentiments for both cards came from the Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strips, and the pretty pearls are Honey Bee Ombre Pearl Stickers (which I love)! Finally, I added some sparkly Nuvo Blizzard glitter drops to the solid candle flames for a touch of sparkle. Here is a closer look at these:

Cactus Watercolor Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm sharing a card today, and once again I pulled out a few favorite older supplies from Simon Says Stamp. And it's clearly been far too long since I broke out the watercolors - I need to do that more often. It was so much fun! As a bonus, these are nice and flat, so easy to pop in the mail!

These fun images are part of the Suzy's SUCCULENTS Watercolor Prints - and they are so fun for choosing a coloring technique and focusing on that, instead of how you plan to put your card together. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors, and took my time while watching a YouTube live that my friend Lea Lawson was doing! One of them I did in warm cozy tones that felt more realistic for these images. The other one I did in more cool tones for a bit of fun variety! Once they dried, I trimmed the panels down a bit, matted with some coordinating colored cardstock, and then mounted on white cardbases. Finished off with some Tonic glitter drops in Blizzard for a bit of extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at each of these cards:
