So Deer to Me - 3 different cards!

Good morning! Joining in today with Unity Friends with Flair with 3 cards that I made last year during my time with Dirty Dozen for Splitcoaststampers. I made these 3 cards using Deer to Me - starting with a super simple one, and working up to more layers and details on each one. I thought this first one would be fun to give to a child - that way they could also color it!

Next up is still a flat easy to mail card. I colored it in, then layered it on a cardbase that I made with Avery Elle woodgrain cardstock.

And finally - the one with lots more layers! For this one, I colored and fussy cut out the deer and speech bubble, layered some pretty Simple Stories pattern paper, and added jute twine, enamel dots, and a punched border.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful Friday - and have a wonderful weekend!

WCMD - Part 1 - Thank You Card - Market Street Stamps Block Party

Good morning - and Happy World Card Making Day!!! I have several posts going up first thing this morning - and depending on how much I am able to play today, will hopefully have a lot more - and I also have a giveaway I am doing to celebrate! All you have to do to win is leave a comment on any of my posts today - and I will draw a winner next week. Scroll to the bottom of this post if you want to see what you could win!

The first card I have to share today is for the Thank You category in the World Card Making Day Contest - as well as on the Moxie Fab World - I LOVE how this one came out!
I also made this for the Market Street Stamps October Block Party

I used one of my FAVORITE Market Street Stamp sets, Gone Camping - and the cute Marshmallow's on a stick, as well as the perfectly matching sentiment.
I stamped it on a scallop circle cut with a Spellbinder's Nestabilities Die, colored it slightly with Copic markers, then stamped the sentiment with PTI ink.
All my pattern paper is from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad. The red strip was punched with an EK Success paper punch.
Finished off with some jute twine from Ribbon Carousel, and some stick on pearls.

Now...if you made it all the way to here - here is a picture of what you can win!!! (HERE is my favorite project made with this set - can you see why I LOVE it?!?!?!?!?) I have had this thing lately with Mason Jars - and I just ADORE this stamp set from Unity Stamp, so I got a set to giveaway on my blog! It got packed and lost in the shuffle of moving, so even though I've had it for a while, I just found it recently and thought this was the perfect opportunity to give it away! So...for a chance to win, just leave a comment on any of my posts today - the more you leave, the better your chances of winning! Due to postage, US and Canada only (unless you want to help with shipping costs - then I am happy to send it international as well!) Good luck!

Growing in Unity - Day 3 - Trust in the Lord

Hello! I'm back with my third card for my Growing in Unity week - and so far, I think this one is my favorite! Like yesterday, I used another of the stamp of the week stamps - only this one is from week 3.
I stamped on some pattern paper from Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 paper pad. Did a bit of coloring with Copic markers to highlight the hearts.
I wrapped some jute twine from Ribbon Carousel around the bottom edges, used an EK success edge punch across the top, and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distress tool.
The background papers are from the same paper pad, also distressed. I added some strips of chevron ribbon, also from Ribbon Carousel, as banners underneath the image panel.
Finished off by attaching the image panel with foam adhesive, and attaching to a kraft paper card base.
I'm so glad you stopped by to visit me today! Remember to leave a comment here today (and on Day 1 and Day 2 of this week) to be entered to win 2 Itty Bitties of your choice! I will draw a winner this Saturday.

Party Time on The Peachy Keen Connection!

Hey - if you haven't stopped by - I hope you don't miss the fun on the Peachy Keen Connection! We are having a party to release the new stamps for this month! Make sure and stop on over...here is my card for the challenge I am hosting (challenges will last until Sunday...so you will have time to play even if you miss tonight!) My challenge is to include: paper piecing, glitter, and twine or ribbon of some kind. You can read all the details HERE!
I used one of the cute fairies from the brand new Kit of the Month - which is now live on the site! Here is a pic for you:

I used some yummy papers from a 6x6 My Mind's Eye paper pad. Incorporated the paper as part of the sentiment too! Tossed some October Afternoon sprinklers on the paper in soft pink, and used a EK Success edge punch along the side.
Paper pieced the dress and hat on the cute fairy, then colored the skin, wings, and shoes. Then...added lots of Stickles for sparkle!
Wrapped around some twine from Ribbon Carousel, a PTI button, and pop-dotted the fairy onto the card.
Finished off with some stick on pearls, a piece of a doily stained with Tim Holtz distress stain, and the sentiment from the kit stamped on the bottom!
Hope you will join in on the challenge! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Thank FULL - FWF Friday!

Can't believe another Friday is here! Where are the weeks going?!?!?! But since it is Friday, I'm playing along with Unity Stamp Company's Friday Friends with Flair again. This week I am sharing a reject from one of the last publication calls (in case you were wondering why I'm sharing a fall themed card!):
This is another card I made using a 6x6 piece of paper folded in half for the card base. All the papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I used my Tim Holtz distress tool on one layer of pattern paper, then a Fiskars notebook edge punch on another one. Added a square of burlap - then that great jar stamp from a Unity Stamp KOTM (can't remember which one, and I'm not at home so I can't look right now!)
I fussy cut, then pop-dotted the jar from the background, and tied a bit of twine from Papertrey Ink around the top. The sentiment is from the same KOTM, and I stamped it on pattern paper before cutting it out and adding it to the top of the jar, also with pop-dots!
So glad you dropped in today! Hope to see you again soon!!!

Some scrapbook layouts...

If you are looking for my 500 follower giveaway, click HERE, or scroll down to the last post.

So funny, as I posted yesterday another card that I had submitted for publication that didn't get picked...well...yesterday I got my first acceptance email from Paper Crafts Magazine!!! It was an exciting day for me! The really funny thing, is that I had made the card I submitted, then actually received the paper in the mail that I had wanted to use on it, so I remade it with that. I ended up sending the first one with my husband this week while he was out of town...and that was the very card he opened yesterday morning! Kind of a funny coincidence! :0)

Anyway, I usually don't share layouts...but I finally found a better way to photograph them, so I am a little more happy with them. So I thought I would share a few. They are very simple...but they are my family so they make me happy!

This first one I cut the flower out with my Cricut using the Botanicals cartridge, and added a sentiment from Unity Stamp Co.

For the next one, I stamped Peachy Keen faces on a bunch of the clouds, then used a Unity stamp colored with some Copic markers.

The next one is more Unity stamps...from the set I'm giving away for my 500 follower giveaway (hint hint...)

This one...more Unity Stamps...

This one has Unity Stamps, and some October Afternoon Sprinklers.

Used an EK Success notebook edge punch here, and another Unity Stamp.

And a couple of Random Unity Stamps that I have won along the way, stamped in some different colors! Added some PTI buttons and twine.

This one I couldn't get the photograph to be straight...but the layout is! I promise! Lots of October Afternoon...some PTI buttons and twine, and some Tim Holtz trim.

Another one with LOTS of October Afternoon goodies, and some PTI buttons.

And...more October Afternoon! Used some Holiday Style Sprinklers, lots of the Holiday Style Flower Sack, and miscellaneous buttons, stickers, and trim.

Thanks for letting me share these with you! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I get my hubby back today - and am SOOO excited to spend time with him!

Play Date Cafe Color Challenge #122

Hello! Wanted to share my card for this week's Playdate Cafe Color Challenge. Here is what I came up with:
And here is the color combo:

I used one of my new Unity Stamp Itty Bitty's, and some older My Mind's Eye papers. The notebook edge punch is from EK Success.
Added some stick on pearls, some yummy Baker's Twine along the bottom, and a brad from my (old) stash! It was actually one of the leftovers from my sister's wedding invitations - almost 7 years ago!
This is another of the cards I managed to stash in my husband's suitcase for while he is out of town! Hope he enjoys it! I packed one card for each day that he is gone this week - with instructions to open only one each day. It is was the closest I could come to stowing away in his suitcase to go with him!

Hi Sweetness...MFT Getting Sketchy Challenge #55

Good morning! If you are looking for the Peachy Princess Blog Hop, click HERE or scroll down to the last post (pssst...if you didn't notice, there is a giveaway as well!).

This morning I wanted to share the card I made for this weeks Getting Sketchy Challenge with My Favorite Things. Here is my take on the sketch:
And here is the sketch:

As you can see, I rotate the sketch 180 degrees, so the flower was on the bottom left, instead of top right. Other than that, I stuck pretty exactly to the sketch.
I used some of my favorite My Minds Eye papers, and did some machine stitching.
The image is one of my Pure Innocence sets, which I stamped and colored with Copics, right onto the pattern paper. Used an EK Success edge punch for the notebook paper edge,  and put a heart shaped doily behind it. The edges are also inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo.
Finished off with a flower cut with my Cricut using Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, with a Papertrey Ink button and twine on top of it.
Well - that's it for now! I'm hoping to get some more time to play today, between homeschooling and that thing we call housework...wonder why that always has to get in the way! Oh well, I am grateful for a house to take care of!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Cricut 360 - Challenge #8 - Back to School!

Good morning! It's Friday, which means it's time for another challenge over at Cricut 360! Make sure and hop over to see who won last week's prize, and who the top 3 picks for the week are. Our new challenge for the week is all about...you guessed it - Back to School! Can't believe it is that time already! I homeschool both of my girls, and I really don't feel ready for the summer to be over yet - but I don't know if I ever would feel that way! So...here is my card to celebrate that it is almost here!

I used Give a Hoot to cut out the apple, added some inking and stitching with my white gel pen, and used some Glossy Accents and Martha Stewart chunky glitter in the center of the apple. The background is just a rectangle of paper that I punched the edge on with an EK success punch and ran through my Cuttlebug. The tag was cut from Once Upon a Princess, and the sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

Added some more inking and stitching around the edges of the card, some bling with my Jolee's Heat Set tool, and some buttons and jute cord. Also pop-dotted the apple when attaching it to the card!

Hope you enjoyed looking - now head on over to the Cricut 360 blog to see what the rest of the Design Team whipped out, and to link up your own creation for a chance to win this weeks prize! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

I am also entering this in three challenges - this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge - back to school with the 3 R's - ribbon, rhinestones, and the color red (the jute cord counts as ribbon, right?), and this weeks challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2 - make a project using the Cricut, a stamp, and the color red. The last challenge is the Unity Stamp Company Challenge, Back to School. And one last one - the Learning Curve Challenge over at Paper Issues.
