Good morning! Welcome to my second day of Growing in Unity! For today's card I used the second stamp of the week! I am not currently subscribed to the stamp of the week (I was just lucky enough to win a few of them recently!) - but I also hear that later this week is the big release of all the past 6 months of these stamps! This will only happen twice a year! So...if you missed out, now would be your chance to get them! This is the stamp that almost pushed me over the edge (if money was no object it would have happened long ago!!!):
Isn't it ADORABLE?!?!?! My brother in law is getting married in a few weeks, and I had the privilege of going to a bridal shower for the bride to be - so this is the card I gave her...with a little money tucked inside, since I had miscalculated and thought the shower was a week later, and didn't have time to shop! Oops...
I used some My Mind's Eye Indie Chic papers from a 6x6 paper pad, and a Spellbinders Nestabilities die to cut the fun frame. I stamped and colored the image slightly with Copic markers.
The edges were heavily inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen to give it a distressed feel and blend it better with the pattern paper.
I added a pretty bow with some cotton twill ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, then pop-dotted the frame and the sentiment from the background.
Finished off by adding a bit of bling I got from my local Michael's store.
I am also entering this in the Unity Stamp Challenge that ends in a couple of days - showcasing stripes!
So glad you stopped to see me today! Remember all comments left on my Growing in Unity posts will be entered to win 2 free Itty Bitty's of the winner's choice! See you here tomorrow for day 3!!!
Really cute...I love this image. Lee-Ann :)
