I Really Like You - Simon Says Stamp Card

Good morning! Dropping by this morning to share a card I created using an alcohol ink background I created earlier this month (with a short video on Instagram for fun!) - and long awaited stamp and die set that I ordered back in February along with some pre-order new items from Simon Says Stamp. As we all know, the world got a bit crazy after that time, and it wasn't until recently that those items shipped. Needless to say, it felt a bit like Christmas opening those two packages - and I couldn't wait to put this stamp and die to use!

The background was created with Flamingo and Lemonade alcohol inks on Yupo paper, with a good bit of Alcohol Blending Solution. You can scroll back on my Instagram account if you want to see the video if it coming together.

Next I paired up the CZ Design Like You Die with the Like You Words Stamp set. I die cut the top layer of the die with SSS Magenta glitter cardstock, and the bottom from white cardstock and layered them together.

I popped that up with foam adhesive on the background, then heat embossed supporting sentiments from the stamp set on black cardstock, trimmed them down, and adhered them with foam adhesive as well.

Finished off with a couple jewels from Pretty Pink Posh for sparkle - coordinating them with the background so using Flamingo and Marigold. I absolutely LOVE this color combo!

Mama I Love You So - Simon Says Stamp Sunny Days Ahead Release

Good morning! I'm super excited this morning to be sharing a card using some of the brand new Sunny Days Ahead Release from Simon Says Stamp! This release was supposed to happen earlier this month, but was put on hold when Simon Says had to stop shipping due to a stay at home order for the Covid 19 situation. So happy to today to not only be able to finally share this release, but also the news that Simon Says Stamp is finally been given the go ahead to begin shipping again!

Today's card uses one of the new dies in this release, along with an alcohol ink background I created last month and shared a short video of on my Instagram page. So glad to finally get it used on a card!

I used two colors of alcohol ink for the background - Botanical and Pool - as well as come Pinata Rich Gold color.

I used the brand new Outline Mama wafer die for the large word - cutting the outline image from gold glitter cardstock, and the background first from vellum (then feeling like it didn't pop enough), then from white cardstock. I actually layered them together in the end - the vellum softens the white cardstock a bit for a softer look in real life.

Added a supporting sentiment from a previous release - Messages for Everyday - heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock, then matted the front panel with white cardstock and mounted on a card base created with Audrey cardstock. Finished off with a few sparkly coordinating crystals from Pinkfresh's Essentials: Crystals Mix!

Friendship Across the Miles - Memory Box

Good morning! I recently received some fun new dies and stamps from Memory Box to play with - so many beautiful Valentine and love themed items! A couple weeks ago I spent an afternoon with my niece playing around, and created this alcohol ink background that was just sitting there waiting to be used on a card. When I die cut this Poppy Stamps Graceful Heart Frame die and laid it over it, I knew it was the perfect combination!

The alcohol ink background was my first time using Translucent Yupo paper - and I love the soft look of it! I used the 3 alcohol pearl inks that I own, some blending solution, and some Pinata Rich Gold alcohol ink. Love this combination!

I die cut my front piece from white cardstock, and trimmed the alcohol ink piece to fit behind it, adhering them together, and then adhering to a white cardbase. I stamped a sentiment on the negative heart piece using Friendship Floral Heart stamp set, then adhered it with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.

Finished off with a few white Pretty Pink Posh jewels for a bit of extra sparkle!

Alcohol Pearls and Flowers - Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Delicate Flowers! This is a super fun kit - I loved getting my hands on my first Alcohol Pearl inks (there are THREE in the kit!), and the Delicate Flowers stamp set is STUNNING! And not only is there some Yupo paper in the kit, but even some new Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink cardstock! There is some beautiful 6x6 pattern paper, gorgeous washi tape, and of course some cardstock and envelopes!

For my first card, I just had to play with those lovely alcohol pearl inks! I used two of the three colors for this one - Sublime and Tranquil. I used my blowing tool and some of the blending solution to create the background on Yupo paper, then set it aside to dry thoroughly.

I stamped one of the flowers and leaves from the stamp set on white cardstock and fussy cut them out. I layered those over the alcohol background with foam adhesive.

I used my MISTI and some Stazon ink to stamp my sentiment - this is one of my favorite inks for stamping on Yupo paper.

And even though it's hard to capture the shine in the photos, you can see it a bit in this photo. SOOO pretty in real life!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

Floral Frame Two Ways - Simon Says Stamp Blossoms & Butterflies Release

Hello! There is a FUN and FABULOUS new release from Simon Says Stamp called Blossoms & Butterflies - and I have a couple cards to share with you using some of it! I've used the Lotus Frame Wafer Die to create two cards - each one completely different and also using sentiments from a fun new stamp set called Wake Up and Makeup!

First up I have this layered shaker card - backed with a previously made alcohol ink background, and filled with sparkly Iridescent Mini Star Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

I die cut the Lotus Frame Wafer Die from black cardstock, then from the center of a panel of Peacock Cardstock (already die cut with Stitched Rectangles), and inlaid the black one in the opening over the acetate to form my shaker panel.

I had some previously made alcohol ink backgrounds on my desk, and this one was the perfect coordinate for this card, so I trimmed it down and used it behind my shaker. That lovely sentiment is from the fabulous new Wake Up and Makeup stamp set - LOVE that the sentiments on this are super versatile as well!

And the second card is super clean and simple - but I just couldn't let that lovely leftover positive cut from the Peacock Cardstock go to waste, could I?!?!?

This is the perfect nice flat and easy to mail card  - I simply adhered the die cut panel on a white cardbase, and then stamped my sentiment underneath. The sentiment, again, is from the Wake Up and Makeup stamp set - another super versatile sentiment!

How easy would this design be to recreate in an entire rainbow of colors? Perfect for a gift set, or when you need a quick card in a pinch!

Lots of fun with the new release coming in the next couple days - keep watching for new fun and blog hops! I'll be back for day 1 of the blog hop on Friday morning - in the meantime, go check out the new release HERE!

Alcohol Inks and Florals - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I'm here today with a floral card combining another fun alcohol ink background with a lovely stamped floral image and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp - it was so fun to pair up the uncolored image of the florals with the burst of color from the alcohol ink background for this card!

I shared a sneak peek of this background several weeks ago on my Instagram - it just took me a bit longer to get an entire card assembled with it! This background was created with a blend of Flamingo, Amethyst, and Patina inks. I just love this color combo!

I stamped the florals from Beautiful Flowers 2 on a panel of white cardstock, stamping off the edges so that I was left with a panel the same width as my alcohol ink background. I carefully fussy cut around the image with detail scissors, then mounted it with foam adhesive over the top of my background.

I adhered then entire panel onto a white cardbase, then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the new Tiny Words Faith stamp set on a strip of Royal Purple cardstock. I adhered that - also with foam adhesive - over a twist of silver thread to finish this card off!

Amazing Bike Two Ways - Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share a couple more cards created with the BRAND NEW April Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Hello Darling! Such a lovely spring kit - especially as most of us are growing very weary of winter, and ready for some sunshine again! The large stamp set, Hello Darling, is stunning - and I adore the lovey Rainboot Planter Die as well! Not to mention the gorgeous double sided pattern paper, stickers, Nuvo drops, cardstock, envelopes, etc... that are in the kit!

Today I have a couple of cards to share using that DARLING bike image from the Hello Darling stamp set - and LOTS of that gorgeous Simple Stories pattern paper from the kit!

I always felt like I hoarded pattern paper in the past, and it was incredibly freeing to me when I started just layering up one single card with TONS of it! Something about actually using it was wonderful - and be still my pattern-paper-loving-heart - this paper is SOOO pretty and fun to do this with!

I adhered all the layers together with adhesive in just the center of each piece, allowing the edges to curl up with some help from me, just adding to all the dimension. The images and sentiment from the stamp kit were stamped on a Stitched Oval, and I added foam adhesive under just that layer.

Finishing touch is some jute twine wrapped around the entire front of the card and tied in a loose pretty bow!

And now...could this card be more opposite from the first one? LOVE how versatile this bike image is - perfect for girly floral patterns and layers, but also from a completely clean and graphic design like this!

For this card I used a recently created alcohol ink background done in rainbow colors. I trimmed the panel down with a Stitched Rectangle Die, then stamped my bike image with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder - being super careful to only heat it just as much as necessary so I didn't melt my Yupo paper.

I matted that panel with a super thin strip of black cardstock all around, and then heat embossed a tiny sentiment from the stamp set on a strip of black cardstock trimmed with Sentiment Labels Die set.

Which is your favorite? Do you prefer the soft and layered card - or is bold and graphic more your thing?

Some Bunny Special - Simon Says Stamp Fresh Bloom Release

Good morning! Have you seen the ADORABLE brand new Fresh Bloom release from Simon Says Stamp?!?!? It is absolutely darling! I'm popping by this morning to share a quick little card I put together with one of the new stamp and die sets, as well as a fun alcohol ink background I created a bit ago during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and didn't get a chance to use!

I thought it would be fun to match the colors of my image from the fun new Bunny Wishes set to my bright and colorful background. It was the perfect splash of color behind the bunny!

I also die cut a couple of the little birdies from the stamp set, and colored everything with Copic markers before mounting with foam on my background. I popped up the birdies with a touch of extra foam on the first image - lots of dimension!

Finished off by heat embossing one of the sentiments from the kit on a thin strip of black cardstock trimmed down with the Sentiment Labels Wafer Dies and mounted that over the balloons!

Lots of fun with the new release coming in the next couple days - keep watching for new fun and blog hops! I'll be back for day 2 of the blog hop on Saturday - in the meantime, go check out the new release HERE!
