Hugs and Prayers - Corbel Heart Die

Good morning! Stopping by today with another card using some of DieCember release from Simon Says Stamp? I really love the beautiful Corbel Heart Wafer Die - and thought it would be perfect for a simple card of encouragement as well as for the more obvious Valentine or Anniversary use.

I am also linking this up with this week's Simon Says Monday Challenge - Anything Goes

I die cut it in the center of a panel of Mint Cardstock, also die cut with Stitched Rectangles. I backed it with Black Cardstock, but still cut a window out of the center so that the heart still showed the white cardbase through.

I heat embossed a sentiment from Hero Arts Prayers Stamp and Die set on Black Cardstock, trimmed into strips and adhered directly on the heart.

Finished off by mounting with foam adhesive on my cardbase - so you can see the dimension right through the die cut heart!

Thoughts and Prayers Watercolor

Good morning. I recently found myself in need of a couple of sympathy cards - I usually try to have those on hand so I don't have to make them at the moment I need them, but this time I didn't have any ready. I did have a new stamp set from Wplus9 that I really wanted to try, as well as a Hero Arts/SSS set that is quickly becoming a favorite. With help from my MISTI, I was easily able to create two cards and just change the colors.

This was my first time pulling out and using my Arches Watercolor paper - and I really liked it!

I added some splatters of the white pearl and black just from my watercolor palette.

That Mama Elephant scallop has become one of my favorites as well.

Prayers and Hugs - with Altenew Florals

Good morning! Here today to share a set of cards, very similar to some I made a little while back - only these ones are with stamped flowers instead of felt. You can see the original ones HERE. Those cards went very quickly, and I had some requests for more, and since I had a new Altenew flower set that I was DYING to ink up - I thought I would combine the two into one project!

Here are close ups of each color combo - I also added a row of stitching to the top of these, something the other didn't need because of the texture of the felt and the added sequins. The bonus to these is that they are flat and much more easily mailed!
