Birthday Girl - Runway Challenge

Good morning! Just quickly sharing my entry for the current Runway Inspired Challenge:
Here is this the photo inspiration:

I used some Bazzil card stock to heat emboss a My Favorite Things sentiment stamp in black, and silver Zing embossing powder.
Added a touch of Studio Calico bling and matted in black cardstock.
The white background is PTI rustic white card stock that I used my PTI Linen IP on - the pictures don't show the texture very well - but it's there! I then attached that panel with foam adhesive to the cardbase.
Super simple! Thanks for dropping by - have a great day!

Happy Birthday - 10 Minute Craft Dash!

Hello! I think I must be getting better at this - because I think I set a record for how long this card took! Although...I started two times, messed up, threw what I had started away, and started again - so maybe that balances out my final fast time on this! Anyway - this is for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge
This was the color inspiration this time around:

And here is how much time I had left on my 10 minute timer this time around! YAY me!
Since the sponsor this time around is Lawn Fawn - I decided to pull out my one and only set of Lawn Fawn stamps for the challenge - the chevron borders. I stamped the narrow one twice, and the thicker one once - using my brand new My Favorite Things inks - which are AMAZING! LOVE the vibrant colors and great coverage!
Added a MFT sentiment on the top, a bit of jute twine, and some bling:
Finished off by mounting it on a kraft card base with foam adhesive.
I am also linking this up with the Chevron Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!!!

Birthday Card for my Mom

Good morning! I had to wait to share this - because I'm sure she would have spotted it! But I wanted to share the birthday card I made for my mom. She LOVES sheep - so since I hadn't had a chance yet to ink up this cutie from Paper Smooches, I knew that was going to be where I had to start:
I first stamped on Copic blending cardstock and colored it in with Copics. Then I fussy cut out the head and body - each separately to attach to the card base. I attached the body by gluing directly onto my stamped image on my pattern paper, then attached the head with foam adhesive for some cute dimension.
My pattern paper is from Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes 6x6 paper pad - SO in love with it! Those doilies are so pretty!
I added the sentiment in the upper right corner, and added a touch of bling underneath, and thickers to add the word "mom." Also added a swirl of bling where the cute lamb is kicking up her heals! Who wouldn't love glitter dust when they are kicking up their heals?!?!?!
Finished off with a bit of May Arts glitter ribbon, trimmed on a diagonal, then stacked up underneath - and then inked the edges with some green Tim Holtz distress ink.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Happy 13th Anniversary to ME!!! (And other big news...)

Good morning! Well...today is an exciting day! First, and most important to me is that I am celebrating 13 years of marriage today!!! It is so unbelievable to me how fast the years fly - and even though life has had its ups and downs - I truly and blessed to say that I love my husband more today than I did when we were first married! In fact, more than I imagined was even possible! The Lord has surely blessed me!

And...in other big news (that I am still a bit shocked by!) - this girl here is the Moxie Fabber of the week over at Moxie Fab World!!! I was completely floored a few weeks ago when I got the invitation from Cath...and it still feels a bit unreal! Can't believe the honored company I am joining the ranks of - I am always so inspired by this post each week and amazed by the talent I see! Thanks Cath so much!

So...with all that big news out of the way - here is the anniversary card I made for my hubby:
The globe is a print and cut file from the Silhouette online store - cut with my Silhouette cameo, of course! The heart was also cut from a separate file from the Silhouette store.
I used a Paper Smooches die to cut out the word love, and some Glitz Designs tiny letters for the words "I" and "You." The background green paper is some PTI cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug, and the red paper for the heart and background are from Echo Park.
I used foam adhesive to attach the heart to the globe, then more foam adhesive to attach the globe to the cardbase. The die cut "love" was glued directly to the heart.
I finished off by wrapping some jute twine around and tying in a loose bow, then attached the entire panel to my cardbase with foam adhesive.
We are enjoying a week visiting family 1,000 miles away from our new home - so we are going to celebrate by leaving the girls with my parents and going out to breakfast and do some shopping! Looking forward to some special time with my hubby!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my little corner of the blog world! Hope your week is off to a fabulous start too!

Unity FWF - You Lift My Spirits

Good morning! It's Friday - and we are on the road heading home to visit family - so excited to be seeing them all! But I also thought I would share a bright and fun spring card for Unity Friends with Flair - as well as for the Washi Tape Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:
I also thought it would be fun to play along a little more in the Unity {be inspired} Challenge - I used the color inspiration for this card:

I used my brand new Unity March Kit of the Month - these are seriously so much fun! You get so many fun stamps, and so much variety for such a great price! I really am addicted! Anyway...I stamped my images from the kit of some green Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock and heat embossed with white powder, then inked the edges with some coordinating distress ink.
Mounted it on some American Crafts pattern paper, then added some bling in the bottom right corner, and glued on a couple of Studio Calico wood veneer people - the idea was to have them look like they were holding on to the kite strings...not sure if it worked or not!
I added some pink polka dot washi tape to a couple corners, then a bit of teal polka dot washi tape to the top right corner.
Layered a bow made out of Baker's Twine and a flower from my stash in the bottom corner, and used a Tim Holtz paper clip to attach a small piece of Tim Holtz film strip.
Kind of a random card - but it totally makes me feel like spring! Hope it brightened your day as well! Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

Stitched Hi - PS Cool Shades Challenge

Hello! Just sharing a quick card for this weeks Paper Smooches SPARKS Cool Shades Challenge:
Here is the color palette:

I used the Paper Smooches set called Needle Little Love, and stamped using some Tim Holtz distress ink and some of my new MFT ink pads.
Pattern papers are by Echo Park, and I added some jute twine and an October Afternoon button.
Matted in black, then popped the middle panel up with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Moxie Fab Elegant Emerald Card

Good evening! I really wanted to play along with this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - and managed to sneak in a few minute this afternoon. Unfortunately...this did NOT come out as I envisioned in my head - and since I am busy packing to head out of town tomorrow, there was no way I could squeeze in a revised version. So...here it is anyway:
Here is the trigger photo:

I started off by misting a doily with a couple colors of Mister Huey's spray mist then allowing it to dry. Then, I layered it on some soft blue cardstock from Bazzil.
I layered on some gold washi tape (to pull out the gold in the photo) then added some May Arts glitter ribbon.
Finished off with a stamped sentiment from My Favorite Things, some jute twine tied in a bow, and a bit of bling.
Have a great evening!

Scrapbook Layout for SPS

Good morning! I'm sharing something a little different then normal this morning over at Shop Pumpkin Spice - a scrapbook layout! I actually do a lot of scrapbooking, but for the most part, I do it for us and our family - not for blog sharing! However, I was so happy with this layout - and thought that it was particularly fun that I used Valentine's papers for a different purpose. I also still scrapbook in 8 1/2 by 11...I started that way, and just never got around to switching. I might someday - but for now I'm happy with this size! Here is my 2 page layout - it is when my oldest daughter got glasses for the first time:

Here is a close up of each page:

Other than the white and black cardstock, all the papers and embellies are from this years Valentine's paper pack from Echo Park - Love Story:

I hope this inspires you to create something non-holiday themed with something intended for a specific holiday! Such a fun way to stretch your supplies a little further! Have a great day!

MCS Embossing Challenge - Chalkboard Easter Card

Good morning! I'm a little late getting this posted (oops!) but wanted to share my card for this weeks new challenge over at My Craft Spot - Embossing:
I decided to go for a chalkboard look card using a sentiment from Happy Easter and the flourishes from Tiny Tags 2:

I used Chalkboard paper, heat embossed my sentiment and flourishes with white embossing powder, then re-stamped them slightly offset with white pigment ink.
I added some smudges of white pigment ink with my finger and some paper towel for the "chalk dust", the added some lines around the edges with one of my daughter's white colored pencils.
Used some MME pattern paper for the background, with a doily tucked behind, and rounded one corner of my card.
Finished off with some Spring Moss Crinkle Ribbon, and Black Jute Twine from My Craft Spot, tied with a coordinating October Afternoon button.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you will come over and join the challenge with us at My Craft Spot - any kind of embossing, dry, heat, or Glossy Accents!

Another 10 Minute Dash Card!

Good morning! Thought I would quickly pop in and share the card I made for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge:
These were the colors to use for inspiration:

And...I really made it with not a minute to spare! Talk about getting the adrenalin pumping!!! This is the time I had left when I finished:
I used my Paper Smooches Duo Die to cut the frame shape, then stamped the gift and bow from Paper Smooches Hullabaloo set, lightly coloring it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Party Posse.
I attached the outer frame with foam adhesive, and the inner portion directly onto the card base. Also covered the gift with Glossy Accents, and attached a couple green pearls under the sentiment.
My pattern paper is from Crate Paper's Party Day 6x6 paper pad - with a bit of distress inking on the edges. Finished off with some Studio Calico wood veneer stars, some jute twine, and an October Afternoon button.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great Saturday! Just in case you are interested - check out my for sale tab along the top (or click HERE)! LOTS of stamps for sale - and I listed them cheap too!
