Kitty with Blanket - Heffy Doodle

Good morning! Well...I am WAY behind on sharing this card! Haha - it is one that I made for Heffy Doodle for Creativation last JANUARY! Even though it has sat for a while, I didn't want to miss sharing it, since I love this adorable little stamp set from Heffy Doodle called Mewniverse! It was the freebie with purchase at the time, but is now available to purchase on it's own.

I linked up as many as the supplies as I could at the bottom of my post - some of them I couldn't remember, like the Copic colors. That's what I get for waiting so long I suppose! But a pink kitty in a mint basket is so fun, don't you think?

On this one I added some little scraps of white felt to make a blanket for the kitty. Did some die cutting and layering of pattern paper as well.

I stamped the sentiment, then snipped it apart with scissors to mount on foam adhesive - just like the kitty. A bit of jute string at the top finished this off perfectly!

Spellbinders Indie Line Blog Hop and Giveaway

Good morning! I'm excited today to be hopping with Spellbinders featuring the Indie Line, available only from select retailers! You can find it HERE at Simon Says Stamp - or check on the Spellbinders Blog for a more complete list!

I have two cards to share today using two of the sets in this fabulous collection - the Layered Rose Etched Dies and Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set:

I decided to die cut the flowers from Layered Rose Etched Dies using a mix of white cardstock and pattern paper. I cut the base layers using white cardstock, then both of the flower layers in the same pattern paper for a soft layered look, and two colors for the leaves.

I did the same thing with the word dies from Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set - white cardstock for the base layer, and then pattern paper for the detail layer.

For my cardbases, I used Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp - a nice soft gray. I added score lines around the edges to form a frame, then added some white paint splatters.

I heat embossed a sentiment for each card from Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set on a strip of black cardstock, and layered everything on the cardbases with foam adhesive.

I finished off with a few white jewels from Pretty Pink Posh on the sides of the sentiment strips for a bit of sparkle!

LID June Release Day 1 - Coffee Cup Gift Cards Galore

Hello! The day is finally here to start sharing projects with the BRAND NEW June release at Lil' Inker Designs! There are SOOOO many incredible new stamps and dies in this release - and if you like coffee, kitties, or babies - you are going to LOVE this release!!! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today, I went a little crazy with my favorite new die from the release - a perfect gift card holder called To Go Coffee Cup Gift Holder Die! Because, who doesn't love to give or receive coffee gift cards, right?!?!?

It really is SOOO completely genius! You slide the cover off... (random fact - did you know they are called paper "zarfs?" You can Google it! Kind of fun to say to your barista and see if they know or not! Haha!)...and then...

It opens up to reveal the gift card inside! Eek! The brilliance of it gets me every time!

I made these 4 that are more girly verions - love that this is a fabulous way to use up some of your pattern paper stash as well!

And then I made these additional 5 all in more manly colors. Notice those fabulous sentiments on all of them as well? Those are from another of my favorites from this new release - Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set - the PERFECT accompaniment to this fabulous new die!

For each of these, I die cut the main panel from white cardstock, then the lid and "zarf" from pattern paper. To add pattern paper to the front of these, I did some partial die cutting - super simple - then trimmed off the extra with scissors to make it fit just the front of these. I made 7 of these in about an hour, while simultaneously being interrupted by my daughters as they were doing their homeschool work and needed my help. They really were just that easy!

Studio Katia 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop - Day 2

Good morning! I'm happy this morning to be joining in a on Day 2 of the HUGE Hop for Studio Katia's 2nd Anniversary Celebration and Release! You should have arrived here from Ilina Crouse - and your next stop is Tracy Freeman. If you get lost, the entire blog hop line-up is at the bottom of this post. You can check out the entire new release HERE!

I actually ended up with a total of FOUR cards to share with you today! Totally wasn't planning on doing that many, but just kind of worked out that way with all the new release goodies I got in my package. So be prepared for lots of photos - you've been warned! :)

My first card uses the gorgeous new Lovely Floral Stamp set - such a gorgeous floral image - and so fun to watercolor! I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to color in the vibrant blooms, then added a splatter of white paint over the top for extra texture.

I added a sentiment from Birthday Greetings, trimmed the panel slightly smaller than my white A2 cardbase before attaching it, so it left a slight border.

Second card uses the same Lovely Blooms stamp set - but this time with colored pencils! It is equally fun to color this way!

This time, I stamped it on kraft cardstock with a soft colored ink, then slowly colored in with my Chameleon Double Ended Colored Pencils. This was perfect for me to take with my on the go (actually, I took this one AND the previously watercolored one with my to my parents house and colored them there). Once I arrived home, I restamped the image (since I left it in my MISTI after the first stamping) with clear embossing ink, and heat embossed with gold.

I trimmed it down, matted with black cardstock, then added a heat embossed sentiment from Birthday Greetings on a thin strip of black cardstock. Finished off with a sprinkling of Nuvo Drops around the image in similar vibrant tones.

Next up, I paired up the Kobi Bearing Gifts, Bubbles Stencil, and Birthday Greetings for a simple birthday card - LOVE that sentiment!

I started off by blending Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink using the Bubbles Stencil over white cardstock and my new Ranger Blending Brushes (LOVE them). I then stamped Kobi Bearing Gifts, colored to blend with my background, and cut out with the coordinating dies.

Finished off by stamping my sentiment, mounting the image with foam adhesive, and then mounting the entire thing on a Sea Glass cardbase.

And finally...a shaker card featuring the Scallop Window Dies!

For this one, I chose some fun pattern paper from a Crate Paper 6x6 pad, and die cut the Scallop Window Die from the center. See that thin strip of white? The die cuts that as well, so I fit that back into the window to add a bit of a frame as I built my shaker.

I filled it with Sparkling Butterfly Chunky Glitter and added a sentiment, again from Birthday Greetings, stamped in a coordinating color. Mounted the entire thing on some new Peacock Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

LID April Release Day 2 - Mother's Day Cards

Hello! Welcome back to Day 2 of the the BRAND NEW April release hop at Lil' Inker Designs! There are a ton of fun new stamps and dies to share! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards! Today I have a couple of Mother's Day Cards to share with you!

For my first card, I used the brand new Spring Wreath Die set - full of gloriously intricate and beautiful wreath die cuts! I die cut all 3 from white cardstock, and used them all on my card here!

Tucked a little banner die cut using One Love Die Set with a heat embossed sentiment from Best Mom Stamp Set under the side, and tied some jute string in a bow. Pattern paper is from Crate Paper, and I also used Cover Up: Stitched Quatrefoil for the cardbase for a bit of extra texture.

Next up, a softer colored Mother's Day Card!

For this one I stamped a floral background using the images in Best Mom Stamp Set in soft colors. I then stamped my sentiment over the top from the same stamp set in black ink. I die cut that panel down with a Stitched Rectangle Die, and tied some twine around the panel.

I also used the new Cover Up Die: Dotted Chevrons for this card - die cut from white, trimmed slightly smaller than an A2 card, and layered over a pink cardbase. Over this I mounted the front panel with foam adhesive.
