Say it with Flowers - Altenew Instagram Celebration Hop

Good morning! Super excited today to be part of an Instagram hop with Altenew celebrating them reaching 50K followers on Instagram! Make sure and head over to Instagram to hop along for some fabulous inspiration and prizes - my Instagram is HERE. The theme of the hop is "Say it with Flowers" to showcase Altenew's trademark elegant floral stamps! There are 3 $50 gift certificates, and 39 $15 gift certificates up for grabs, so you will definitely want to go hop along!

I also wanted to post more details and links for supplies I used for my card here so you could find them easily in one place!

I used the beautiful large Wallpaper Art stamp set - SOOO beautiful! I heat embossed in white on watercolor cardstock - the leaves directly on the main panel, and the flower separately so that I could die cut it with the coordinating dies and  pop it up on my card.

I did some soft watercoloring - LOVE how the white embossing resists the watercolor and leaves a lovely soft outline! I also added some splatters of Perfect Pearls mixed with water to the background and flower before attaching the main flower over the leaves with foam adhesive.

Sentiment is from Bold Bunch, heat embossed in Platinum embossing powder for a perfect soft shine and color. Matted on a coordinating green cardbase to help the whole thing pop, and added a few sparkling clear sequins tucked around as well.

Follow Your Heart Hummingbird - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live

Good morning! Yesterday was once again my day for a Facebook Live video, and we played with more of the BRAND NEW Essentials Release!! If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. As summer begins there may be some weeks we have to skip, but overall still planning to do this each week on Thursdays as schedules allow - so I hope you'll be able to come join me sometime! As always, there was one giveaway for someone who watched live, and there is still one for someone who watches on replay - because I am leaving to go camping this morning, I won't be choosing a winner until at least Sunday afternoon - possibly into the evening or even Monday morning (depending on how tired I am - haha!) so there is still time to pop over and leave some comments for a chance to win!

In the meantime - here is some more info and photos of the card we made, as well as links to all the products used!

I LOVE this rich color combo of red, blue, and gold embossing!

I heat embossed the lovely images from Folk Hummingbird in gold on watercolor cardstock, then colored them in with just 4 colors of Pinkfresh Studio's Liquid Watercolors - Bubble Gum, Candy Apple, Sky Blue, and Sapphire. The colors mix and blend so beautifully and easy!

While those dried, I die cut the window and detail image in the white cardstock using the new Essentials: Braided Circle Die set. I heat embossed my sentiment in gold on a bit of vellum, wrapped around and adhered on the back of the white panel, then layered together some blue cardstock and a red cardbase to pull all the colors together.

Finished off by adhering the watercolored images around the circle with foam adhesive for a touch of dimension.

Can you see that amazing shine from the gold heat embossing?!?!? So much fun!!!

Floral Window Trio - Unity Stamp Company

Good morning! Yesterday Unity Stamp Company had a super fun release, and an Instagram Hop to celebrate! The Instagram Hop is still going through next Thursday, with some great prizes up for grabs, so head over there and hop if you haven't! I shared these three cards on Instagram for the hop yesterday, and thought I'd pop in here and share a few more details!

This first card uses the absolutely darling new Phyllis Harris stamp set - Favorite Days. Absolutely darling, isn't it?!?!?

These next two cards absolutely crack me up! These adorable old ladies and their perfect sentiments are so very fun! This first one uses the fun Demand a Recount:

The second one uses Only Old Once.

I used some pretty floral pattern paper, die cut some windows in them, and popped them over my colored image. I also added some Crystal Glaze on the glasses and jewelry of the sweet older gals, and finished off with a few sparkly jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.

Pattern Paper Lacey Layers - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live

Good morning! Yesterday was once again my day for a Facebook Live video, and we played with more of the BRAND NEW Essentials Release!! If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. Still planning to do this each week on Thursdays as schedules allow - so I hope you'll be able to come join me sometime! There was one giveaway for someone who watched live, and there is still one for someone who watches on replay - I will announce the winner late this morning, so there is still time to pop over and leave some comments for a chance to win!

In the meantime - here is some more info and photos of the card we made, as well as links to all the products used!

So this first card is actually the sample card I made before the Facebook Live. We made the exact same card on the Facebook live - but we switched out the colors by using a different pattern paper pad and different jewels and color for the sentiment. Keep scrolling down to see photos of the different color combo!

I absolutely LOVE the beautiful Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die - and it was so fun to use each of the 5 dies on different pattern paper and layer them together. This pattern paper is from the 6x6 Joyful Day Paper Pad.

For this one I used some contrasting teal cardstock for the sentiment die cut using a previous release, Essentials: Classic Words, and some of the coordinating jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix.

For this second card, we used pattern paper from the Everyday Musings 6x6 Paper pad!

Followed the same process as the previous card. The label that both sentiments are on is from the new Essentials: Fancy Label Frames - I die cut several of the layers from white to stack together.

For this one we used Mint Cardstock for the sentiment and added green jewels - all by popular vote on the Live Stream!

Both cards are finished off with a twist of jute string and a heat embossed sentiment from another release this month, Folk Hummingbird. So which color combo is your favorite? I would love to hear which one you like best!

Celebrate Dad Watercolor Cards - Simon Says Stamp Celebrate You Release

Good morning! This morning I'm sharing a couple more cards with the SUPER fun NEW release from Simon Says Stamp called Celebrate You - these feature this release's fabulous Suzy's Watercolor Prints - Celebrate Dad! I love these for coloring on the go - they work great for Copics and Colored Pencils as well, but I used my Daniel Smith watercolors for these. I took these out on my porch to color and keep my husband company one afternoon earlier this week when he was out there working on his laptop.

This first one I colored with super soft colors, and also added some splatters. Once the watercolor dried, I also added Tonic Crystal Glaze to the silver part of the tools. Hard to see in the photos, but adds such fun shine in real life!

This second one is one of my favorites from the collection - I just took my time coloring this one and adding lots of depth and shading, but keeping the colors fairly traditional. I added a few details with a bit of Copic Opaque White medium to finish this one off.

I trimmed both of the panels down just slightly, then mounted on a soft Fog cardbase to finish. I love how easy these are to create cards with - ad it's so fun to add your own little finishing touches as well!

I hope you'll pop over and check it out for more details!

Simple Bird Sympathy Cards - Simon Says Stamp and Memory Box

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a pair of simple sympathy cards combining a lovely Memory Box Die that I received in a bundle of products recently, and some beautiful sentiments from a wonderful sympathy stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Moments of Grace.

We all know that sympathy cards can be some of the most difficult ones to make, so I love when I find a simple design like this that is easy to recreate! And this Perched Bird Craft Die is so lovely and intricate, that it was perfect for this design.

I die cut it twice, once from white cardstock, and once from the Sea Glass cardstock that is part of the Gina K Designs Simon Says Stamp exclusive Simon Says Stamp Cardstock add on collection - such lovely colors in that one! I then reverse paper pieced them together over a die cut Nested Circle covered with adhesive, so I ended up with two images, just reversed colors.

The first one I mounted with foam adhesive on a white cardbase, and then stamped a sentiment underneath with a combination of Smoke Dye ink and black.

For the other one, since the outline was white, I mounted it instead on a Fog cardbase, then stamped my sentiment with the same Smoke dye ink for a soft tone on tone look.

Since sympathy cards are always lovely to have on hand in your stash (somehow seems harder to make them when you actually need them), I love this simple design to be able to quickly put some together to have at the ready! Which one is your favorite?

Mint, Gold, and White Pretty Frames - Pinkfresh Studio

Good morning! Yesterday I hosted a special Facebook Live video to celebrate the BRAND NEW Essentials Release! If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. Still planning to do this each week on Thursdays as schedules allow - so I hope you'll be able to come join me sometime! There was one giveaway for someone who watched live, and there is still one for someone who watches on replay - I will announce the winner later today, so there is still time to pop over and leave some comments for a chance to win!

In the meantime - here is some more info and photos of the card we made, as well as links to all the products used!

For this card we used every single frame from the fun new Essentials: Pretty Frames 2 Die - these are fabulous to use individually, or all together on a card like this. I die cut it once from gold glitter cardstock, and once from white cardstock.

Then we alternated the height of the layers by using foam adhesive for the white layers, and gluing the gold directly down.

Sentiment was stamped on the center panel using the beautiful Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set.

Finished off with a few jewels from the new Essentials: Jewels Mix that was part of the new release - and mounted on a Mint cardbase. I just love this color combo!

Coral Peonies - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello! Today I'm stopping by sharing a card using one of my favorite floral sets from Pretty Pink Posh - and since all the floral stamps and dies are on sale right now, it seemed the perfect opportunity! This card features the newest edition to the collection of florals (and one of my favorite flowers!) - Peonies!

Here is the sale info - click HERE or the photo to view all the sets on sale:

I colored my peonies with some simple coral colors, and die cut them with the Peonies coordinating dies.

I also used the newly released Lattice Background - such a beautiful backdrop for all of Pretty Pink Posh's florals! I layered it over a soft gray cardbase for a neutral background.

Finished off with a few sequins and then a sentiment from another new set - Animal Signs - heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock.
