Layered Floral Mother's Day Cards - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release

Hello! I've got one last set of cards to share this month using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - the other posts have been building my birthday card stash, but today I'm switching to Mother's Day cards. While this year will be a bittersweet Mother's Day - since my mom passed a couple weeks ago, and it will be my first one without her - I still have so many wonderful women in my life that have filled that roll in some way over the years as my mom's Parkinson's and the associated dementia slowly stole her away. So while there was a sadness while I finished these cards, there is also so much thankfulness for each and every woman in my life - and fellow mothers who understand just how wonderful and hard the role of being a mother is!

For these cards I used the new Pretty Petals set, and since I used my MISTI to stamp them, I lined everything up and stamped in a few color combos. I figure once you've done the work, it only takes a few seconds more to stamp a few times and end up with even more cards. I love how fun it is to try different color combos! I then die cut them with the coordinating die, curled up the edges slightly, and adhered to a white cardbase with liquid glue, so there was a tiny bit of dimension, but not a ton of foam layers. I let the stems hang off the edges slightly, then trimmed the excess off. I stamped the sentiments, then popped those up with foam adhesive - had to have a tiny bit of dimension on there, right? I also rounded off one corner for interest, then finished off with a few fun ombre pearl embellishments from Honey Bee stamps - so cute, and they matched perfectly! Here are more photos of the finished cards:

Birthday Floral Prints - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release

Hello! Stopping by to share a couple more cards using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - this was definitely the month of sets, but this time just a set of two! And...you may have noticed the last couple days that I have been updating my stash of birthday cards, and these are no exception!

For these cards, I used the new Flower Block stamp set, and paired it with the new Lush Leaves wafer die, cut from ivory cardstock. I used the previously released Detail Petal plate to add some texture to the background. I did two different color combos for my cards - both used one of my new FAVORITE inks that I discovered from Simon Says Stamp called Buttercream. It is the prettiest ivory color - I love it! I finished off with a few Champagne glitter drops for some extra sparkle! Here are more photos of these finished cards:

Floral Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release IG Hop

Good morning! Today I'm joining a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp! Lots of inspiration to be found, and some great prizes as well! Head over to my Instagram HERE to check it out! But as always with an Insta hop, there are only so many details you can get in that tiny caption, so I always like to do a full blog post with ALL the details!

I used 3 different colors of Concord and 9th cardstock, and then chose Pawsitively Saturated inks that coordinated with the cardstock, tone on tone, but slightly deeper, I blended around the outer edges of the panels, and then in the centers of each flower. This helped the embossing to pop! I added some splatters of the white gold color from my Starry Colors palette, a few sparkly Iridescent clear drops to the centers of the flowers, and some birthday sentiments from the Birthday Basics stamp set, cut with the coordinating dies, and mounted with foam adhesive. Here are more photos of these finished cards:

Retro Arcs Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release

Hello! Stopping by to share my first cards using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - as usual, I have a set of cards to share! I paired up a new stencil set, with some new to me ink colors, and a recently released and new to me birthday sentiment stamp set!

I used the new Retro Arcs stencil set for these cards - and used an assortment of a few new ink colors I recently picked up. For each of the color combos, I used the lightest, then the darkest shades. I ink blended to keep it as soft in the center as possible, and a bit deeper around the edges. I added sentiments with the Birthday Basics stamp and die set that was part of the previous SSS release - I make a ton of birthday cards, so I knew I had to have it! I used the coordinating dies to pop the main sentiments up on foam, and stamped the secondary sentiment directly on the cardbase. Finished off with a few iridescent clear drops for some sparkle! Here are more photos of this card:

Blue Floral Shaker Card - Pinkfresh Studio Instagram Release Hop

Hello! Today I am part of a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the new Pinkfresh Studio "Artsy Floral" Release. There are giveaways up for grabs, so hop on over to check that out if you haven't yet! I have had so much fun creating with this release - yesterday was the blog hop, and I shared a LOTS of cards for that! Today I'm sharing a a fun die cut card I created on YouTube Live last week with Lea Lawson using similar sets but in slightly different ways - this live was extra fun, because we were actually both at my house creating in person together! You can watch that video HERE if you want to see more details!

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I love using the stamps, stencils, and dies for the washi tape suites - while I adore the washi tapes, I love that I can get an entirely different look from the same product, and customize it to my own colors! I used blues, yellows, and greens, and just love how they look with the gold heat embossed outline. And how much more fun is it to turn it into a shaker card?!? The Notched Frame dies and the sparkly gems in the shaker are also part of this new release, and so fun and versatile! Here are more photos of this card for you:
