Rustic and Elegant Merry Christmas

Good morning! I'm here this morning to share a Christmas card I made using a couple different stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp! I love the pairing of the rustic Sweater Background paired up with the elegant font from the large Merry Christmas clear stamp set!

I started by stamping the background in SSS Khaki Dye Ink on a panel of white cardstock using my MISTI to get a nice clear image. I then stamped the sentiment over the top, again with the MISTI, in Versamark ink. This allowed me to stamp 3 times for a nice, dark, crisp impression. I then heat embossed it with some Clear Sparkly Embossing Powder.

I matted that panel with a bit of plain white cardstock, then mounted with foam over a Neenah Desert Storm Cardbase. Added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and some Ivory Burlap String to finish off!

You're on the Nice List - RC Elf Card

Hello! I'm dropping by today with a fun and festive card I made using some new stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti's latest release - and some of my current favorite embellishment - Nuvo drops!

I started off by stamping nearly all of the images in the adorable new Christmas Cheer Stamp Set on watercolor paper, using my MISTI to stamp a few times for a nice deep dark impression. I then watercolored the image, let it dry, and added a border by using Small Diamond Tiles Cover Panel die cut from white cardstock, layered over Brick, and then trimmed off to leave a scallop edge that I tucked behind the watercolor panel.

As a finishing touch, I added lots of "candy" with a few colors of Glossy Nuvo Drops! LOVE the fun dimension and shine these add!

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!

Joy to the World - SSS Cyber Week Release

Good morning! Stopping by again with yet another card made with a surprise little Cyber Week release from Simon Says Stamp! The adorable Suzy's Classical Christmas Watercolor Prints! I love these prints for sitting in front of a movie with a few simple supplies and watercoloring. SOOO perfect and fun - and turns into an card so easily!

Once I finished coloring and letting it dry thoroughly, I added some dots with the Signo white gel pen in the flowers, then added some sparkle with some Nuvo Glitter Drops in Autumn Red. Finished off by trimming just a touch off the edges, then mounting it directly on a Cornflower cardbase with sturdy Scor Tape -  my favorite for watercolor paper since it holds so nicely and firmly!

LID Black Friday Sale and New Release Available

Good morning! Dropping by today with another card using the new releases from Lil' Inker Designs - we showed them off a couple days ago with a mini blog hop (click HERE to go hop along and leave comments for a chance to win!)

There is a HUGE sale - you can find the categories HERE and HERE - and the new stamps and dies are available and on SALE as well - you can find them HERE!

But now that the release is live, I have another card to share using all the new goodies!

I used the new Magical Winter Stamp set and coordinating Magical Winter Dies - paired up with a sentiment from Unstoppable stamp set and a few of the little elements stamped in that on the background. The unicorn is even on an action wobble!!!! And seriously - what is more unstoppable than a dancing unicorn that believes in itself?!?!?!? Here it is in action:

I also added sparkly Nuvo drops to the mane, tail, horn, and feet to make it nice and glittery and girly! :)

I also thought I'd share a couple card that I made in the past that used some of the amazing sale items - link to original posts underneath if you want to check them out closer:

In a Word: Thanks - Winnie and Walter Special Set

Good morning! Stopping by this morning to share a couple cards using a brand new special Winnie and Walter Black Friday stamp set - free this weekend only through Cyber Monday with any $35 or greater purchase - and all in stock items are 15% off as well! This is is such a great thank you stamp set - definitely one you are going to want to have in your stash! You can find full details on the Winnie and Walter Blog!

For my first card I used a full set of Altnew inks to stamp the same sentiment in gradient colors for an ombre effect. I trimmed it slightly smaller than my green card base and let it peek out from one side. I added a few coordinating Nuvo drops to finish off and add a bit of texture.

Next up, I chose another of the large "thanks" sentiments and gave it the watercolor treatment!

Hard to see in the photos, but once I added a watercolor wash around the image, I covered it with Glossy Accents. For this one I used an orange cardbase and let it peek out on the opposite side.

LID November Mini Release Hop

Hello! Today is a hop to celebrate a new mini release at Lil' Inker Designs - two stamp sets and a coordinating die that will be available (and ON SALE) on Friday in celebration of Black Friday! There will also be a ton of other sets marked at fabulous discounts that you will definitely want to check out!

Today, you should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win this entire release. I also have links to all the products I used on today's cards!

First up - I'm loving this darling new unicorn that is part of the new Magical Winter Stamp set - SOOO cute!

I stamped one of the unicorns up with the gift stamp and some of the snowflakes, and cut them out with their coordinating Magical Winter Dies. Colored the unicorn, and heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of pattern paper, Added some torn white paper behind and mounted that on some more pattern paper, then attached the unicorn with foam adhesive, and the snowflakes in the centers, curling up the edges for a bit of dimension. Added some Nuvo drops to the center of the snowflakes, some glittery ones on the horn, hooves, and gift the unicorn is holding, and some white ones sprinkled around the finish it off!

Next up, a clean and simple one layer card using some of the fabulous patterns from the new Unstoppable stamp set - so unique and versatile! Not to mention fun! :)

I used pigment ink to stamp a fun random background, then stamped the sentiment 3 times over the top with Versafine ink. It just felt like it needed to be stated 3 times, so that's what I did!

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop and be ready to shop on Friday - I will be back with another card then using both of these sets! Can we say unicorn on an action wobble?!?!?!? ;)

And now the really fun part! One lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:

Firehouse Thanks

Good morning! A few weeks ago, my sister (who is a volunteer firefighter on one of our local small town fire departments) asked me if I could make her a thank you card for her department as a thank you for a local business who had donated something to them. So...I pulled out my thinking cap, and my Altenew Halftone Thanks stamp set, and put together this simple card!

I pulled out some older pattern papers from my stash of scraps (I think one is Simple Stories and one is Basic Grey, but I'm not certain) - and added a torn edge to both before layering them up. I stamped the thanks above that, then heat embossed the extra sentient in white on a strip of black cardstock - trimming off the "I" so that it worked for a group - and mounted that with a touch of foam. Finished off with a few Metallic Silver Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh, and a bit of black jute twine tied in a knot, trimmed, and frayed a bit at the ends.
