Unity Cyber Monday Hop - Vintage Birthday Wishes

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones! I'm hopping this morning for Cyber Monday with Unity Stamps! I have a few cards and videos I will be sharing throughout this week - but today I'm just sharing my favorite card with one of the new releases!

I used the new Vintage Older Than Me Itty Bitty:

I colored small portions of it with Copic markers, then added Glossy Accents and distress glitter over the large "vintage" word. Also used a bit of distress ink on the edges to soften them. Layered it up with some vellum, a bit of cork paper, some pieces of doily, and some fun Basic Grey pattern paper - with a machine stitched edge. So fun!

Of course - there is a wonderful Cyber Monday sale for you!

This week there is a special giveaway for hopping!

Here is the rest of the links for the Design Team - make sure and visit everyone to see the new stamps in action - and leave some love for a chance to win this weeks giveaway!

Here are links to all the supplies I used on this card - thanks for dropping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Avocado Arts April Cards

Good morning! I'm up on the Avocado Arts blog this morning with a few cards using the new April stamp sets. First up, I have a couple cards with this set - full of so many amazing options for the beautiful women in your life! With Mother's Day right around the corner - this is the perfect time to make use of these:

For this first card, I heat embossed the flower on vellum with some pink Zing embossing powder, then heat embossed the sentiment in black.

Tucked some fun pattern paper by Crate paper behind it, then added that adorable bird paper clip with a bit of jute twine tied on it.

Finished off with some pink cardstock that I embossed with my Cuttlebug for some texture, and a generous sprinkling of bling!

Next up, I decided to stamp one of the flowers on some pattern paper from Crate paper.

I also added a jewel bling to the center of the flower, stamped my sentiment, mounted it on a mat of cork paper, then added two colors of jute twine tied around it.

Mounted it with foam adhesive on my pattern paper, also by Crate Paper.

And next up, I made a card with this new set - LOVE it so much! I can think of so many fun things to make with this:

For this, I stamped the triangle border several times with Versafine black ink on watercolor paper, then colored over it with watercolor paint.

I used my paintbrush to flick some additional paint over the card, then stamped a sentiment from Wishes and Kind Thoughts (see below) and watercolored over it as well.

I also added some Glossy Accents to a few selected triangles for some interest, before mounting it on some blue cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

MCS January Release Hop and Giveaway

Good morning!!! It is finally time for the full reveal and hop for the January Release at My Craft Spot! You should have arrived here from Robin - head over to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning.

This is such a FABULOUS release! I ended up with 3 projects using the new goodies - make sure and leave a comment before you leave, because Kimberly has provided a prize from the new release at each stop along the hop! Click HERE to check out the new store!

And without further ado - here are my projects:

I started off with a little burlap gift bag - I found these a couple months ago at Michael's, and finally got around to using them! I used some canvas and Staz-on ink to stamp my sentiment from the new Chalkboard Sentiments Stamp Set, then cut a bow with the new Small Bow Metal Die out of cork. I couldn't get the center piece to fold around without breaking, so I wrapped some Ivory Jute twine around to hold it all together. I tucked some goodies inside and mailed it to a friend!

Next up, I had fun with the new Edgers Metal Dies, and Big Sentiments:

I used a leftover negative die-cut from a different project that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and attached it with foam adhesive to my cardbase. Stamped my sentiment in the middle, added a border cut with the new Edgers Metal Dies, then added some Orange Creamsicle Sequins. Finished off with a bit of Natural Jute Twine.

I was inspired for this card by the current Runway Inspired Challenge:

And last up, a fun and happy project! I had some goodies that I wanted to mail to another friend, so I put together this fun packaging to wrap it up in:

I used Chalkboard Sentiments again on this one, but with an entirely different look! I stamped with Versamark ink, then sprinkled 4 different colors of Zing embossing powder, then heat embossed. I love the bright rainbow effect! I added some Twinery Baker's Twine in coordinating colors of Lemon Drop, Caribbean, Honeydew, and Maraschino and tied it in a big fluffy bow. My side border was cut with Edgers Metal Dies, and I tucked a little doily in there as well.

Thanks for sticking with me this long! Here is a quick peak at what you can win here - also the stamp set I used for two of my projects:

Isn't it fun?!?!?!? You're next stop along the way is Ally - and here is the entire blog hop line-up, in case you get lost along the way:

Cork Wall Art

Back one last time this morning with the third challenge for Stamp It! week at Paper Crafts Connection. This challenge was to stamp on cork - and for this instead of a card, I have a wall hanging I made:

I stamped the butterfly from the Unity May 2013 KOTM with Glossy Accents, then sprinkled with glitter. Banners were cut with My Craft Spot Tiny Metal Banner Dies from MME pattern paper. Woodgrain was stamped with Unity Stamp Co. Grainy Background stamp. Sentiment from Avery Elle's Lots of Love set was stamped on a banner cut with my Silhouette Cameo using MFT ink. Added some Chevron May Arts ribbon to hang it.

Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share my fun challenge entries! It has been fun to have a few moments to stamp for fun - finally getting caught up on the design team stuff! YAY!

PS SPARKS - YOU + ME = love

Hello! Welcome to the last challenge of the month over at Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge!  Here is what I put together:

Since this is the 5th challenge date in September, it means it is anything goes!

This is actually a card I have had on hand for quite some time - I submitted it twice for publication, and no luck! So...I figured I would share it here!

I used a couple of Paper Smoches Dies - Notebook Basic, and Love Word Dies, as well as a couple of stamp sets - Off The Charts and Chart Toppers to put this together. I used cork to cut the Love Word Die, and my pattern paper is by Crate Paper. I added a tiny Tim Holtz paperclip, some enamel dots, and some washi paper to finish it off.

I am also linking this up with the Metal, Wood, and Cork Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please stop by and see what the rest of the SPARKS team put together:

A Little Message For You...

Hello! I am so excited, because I finally had a little time to craft today! It has been a crazy week, and I am going to be gone all day tomorrow, so I just HAD to squeeze in a few minutes! And I have been wanting to play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge for a while now. The current challenge is embossing, so I went with some heat embossing for my card. Also pulled some color inspiration from the current Inspired By Challenge:
I stamped and heat embossed the typewriter and sentiment from one of my few Lawn Fawn sets on a rectangle cut with my Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle Dies, added some sequins, and colored a bit with Copic markers. Layered it on some Glitz Designs paper and self adhesive Cork, added a bit of Mister Huey's spray mist, and some May arts lace and jute twine.

And here is the color inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!
