Masculine Birthday Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm popping in to share a trio of cards I created using a mix of supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I always need more cards in my birthday stash, and guy cards are particularly difficult. These came out so well - and I love the modern graphic feel!

I started off these cards with sentiments from the Big Old Birthday stamp and die set - stamped in black on white cardstock for a nice crisp finish. I then used a mix of pattern paper from my Pinkfresh Studio Simply the Best 6x6 paper pad, trimmed on an angle for each card, varying the angle each time. I added frames from the coordinating Chipboard frames to create a focal point for the sentiments - both of which were popped up with foam adhesive. I then stamped secondary sentiments directly on the cardbases. Finally, a few of the enamel dots from the same collection finish these cards off! Here are some additional photos and closer views of each card:

Always Here for You - Simon Says Stamp Dear Friend Release

Good morning! I'm dropping by to share another card using the NEWEST Dear Friend Release from Simon Says Stamp! Once again, I'm a bit behind sharing with this release - but today I'm sharing the final in a series of 3 cards using the same stamp set, but sharing some different ways to create a background to accent them.

Today's card may be my favorite of the entire bunch! I love this sweet image from the Caring Thoughts stamp set, and it was super fun to color with Copics, and that sentiment is just so sweet. For the background, I used some fun colors of Concord and 9th cardstock to coordinate with my coloring, the cut strips in 1/2" and 1/4" strips, and layered them tone on tone on top of each other. I used liquid glue, then lined them up on a panel of white cardstock. I matted the colored panel with some soft gray cardstock to help it pop, then adhered everything together. I finished with some coordinating enamel dots to carry the stripe theme into the center a bit, and add some fun interest. Here are some more photos of this card:

Sending Caring Thoughts - Simon Says Stamp Dear Friend Release

Good morning! I'm dropping by to share another card using the NEWEST Dear Friend Release from Simon Says Stamp! Once again, I'm a bit behind sharing with this release - but today I'm sharing the 2nd in a series of 3 cards using the same stamp set, but sharing some different ways to create a background to accent them.

Today's card uses another image from the adorable new Caring Thoughts stamp set, again colored with Copics. I know this looks like a Panda bear, but instead of coloring it that way, I mixed up the colors for a different look. I love how cozy he looks! This time, I layered that panel up with 3 layers of the same color cardstock. This adds a fun framing effect that isn't overwhelming, and adds some dimension just because of the layers of cardstock. Also a great way to use up scraps! Then, I popped that entire panel up on foam on a white cardbase. Easy and fun! Here are more photos:

Love and Hugs - Simon Says Stamp Dear Friend Release

Good morning! I'm dropping by to share a card using the NEWEST Dear Friend Release from Simon Says Stamp! Once again, I'm a bit behind sharing with this release - but starting off today with a series of 3 cards using the same stamp set, but sharing some different ways to create a background to accent them.

First off for this card, I stamped and colored one of the sweet images from the new Caring Thoughts stamp set with Copics, and die cut it with a Basic Rectangle die. For the background, I color blocked 3 colors of Simon Says Stamp cardstock onto my white cardbase, then to add some interest to the background, I stamped on it with the Pretty Peonies Background stamp in Latte ink. Then Ipopped up the front panel with foam. Very easy - but adds so much fun interest to this card! Here are some more photos of this card:

Thanks for Being You - Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the new June 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Etched Greetings! This month's kit is full of lovely florals and images with a vintage feel. The included stamp set by the same name has some florals, and beautiful sentiments, there is a fabulous word die, ephemera...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today's card features some subtle stamping and heat embossing with the florals - and then using some of the fun sentiment options in the kit. I started with some pattern paper from the kit for the background, then heat embossed one of those pretty floral images in white on the top and bottom of a panel of vellum. It got lost in the background, so I mounted it on some white cardstock, for a softer tone on tone effect. I die cut the Fancy Thanks die from some of the Matte Gold cardstock in the kit, and the shadow layer from white cardstock, and popped it up with foam, then finished off with one of the little Reverse Thanks Sentiments in the kit! Here are some more photos and a closer look at this card:

Hope your day is Beautiful - Pinkfresh Studio Instagram Release Hop

Hello! Today I am part of a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the new Pinkfresh Studio release. There are giveaways up for grabs, so hop on over to check that out if you haven't yet! I have had so much fun creating with this release - yesterday was the blog hop, and I shared a TON of cards for that! Today I'm sharing a fun hot foiled and stenciled card I created on last week's YouTube Live with Lea Lawson as a sneak peek. We used the some different elements of the same product suites in different ways to create two completely different cards. It was so fun! You can watch that video HERE if you want to see more details!

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I started off by hot foiling the Pretty Blossoms background, then coloring it in with the layering stencils and dual tones of blue and purple for the flowers, and traditional greens for the leaves. I then die cut it with the coordinating die - love the detail that this adds! I framed it with a Stitched Scallop Rectangle, die cut from matte gold cardstock, and trimming the florals so they just fit behind the frame. I mounted the entire thing with foam on a soft blue cardbase, then added a sentiment from another new set - Butterfly Garden. I tucked a little banner under the larger sentiment from Basic Banners, and added a bit of purple ink onto it with leftovers on my blending brush. Finished off with a few Lavender jewels! Here are more photos and close ups of the finished card:

Pinkfresh Studio May 2023 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Good morning! Today is the blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's May 2023 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY! You can find links to all of the new release items I used on today's cards at the bottom of this post!

My first card uses one of my favorite sets from the new release!

The Pretty Blooms is such a lovely set - I used the hot foil plate with Satin Gold foil, and colored it in with corals and peach tones for the flowers, using dual tones. I love how it cuts with the coordinating die - and those open areas are such a lovely touch! It is also lovely just as a background - so I love the versatility. I added a reverse foiled sentiment with The Magic is in You Phrase hot foil die, and a secondary sentiment from Delicate Foliage. A few Pixie Dust Ombre Glitter Drops finish this one off! Here are lots of photos and close ups of this card:

Next up - I'm using a set that was actually my assigned set from last years Create and Connect event. This set is so versatile, that I couldn't resist making TWO more cards with it!

For this first card, I used super soft colors. I stamped in Warm Buff ink, then used soft greens, coral, and peach tones. It makes a super fun background, but using the coordinating dies gives you so many options to arrange everything. I used Slim Scallop Circles die backed with soft pink cardstock to create a slimline design, tucking in the elements in the circles. I added a sentiment from the set - using a Basic Banner to stamp part of the sentiment, and then finished off with some Peach Fuzz jewels. Here are more photos of this card:

And, as promised, here is the second card:

For this one, I used the EXACT same colors as the first one, I just stamped the outline in Detail Black at the end. I love the different look and effect it gives! I used the largest Shaker Heart die, cut from white cardstock, to arrange all of the florals. This built a fun heart shape design. I added a sentiment from Basic Banners: Celebrate, a background created with Floral Tiles coverplate, and a few Glitter Drops in Blossom, Champagne, and Leaf to finish it off. Here are more photos of this card as well:

And this next card - I almost turned into a shaker card, but ended up just making it a fun popped up window instead:

This card uses several new items - the Magic is in You stencil and die (those mushrooms are the CUTEST!!!), the Terrarium die (so unique and fun), and the Magic is in You Phrase hot foil and die set. I used fairly traditional colors to create this - and added a row of Ruby glitter drops in the top left corner, and a tiny bow from Wrap Around Elements to finish it off. Here are more detail photos:

And finally, this soft card using a new floral set.

For this card, I used the new Handpicked Flowers stamp, stencil, and die set. I used soft gray ink to stamp my outline, to give a no line effect. I created a window using Blanket Stitched Ovals, and a window using Ornate Banners. Another of those bows from Wrap Around Elements makes an appearance, and the sentiment from the set is stamped on a Basic Banner, and layered with another Basic Banner. A few Ombre Glitter Drops in Twilight and Magic Potion finish this card off!
