Smile When I Think of You - Simon Says Stamp Believe in You Release Hop Day 2

Good morning! I'm super excited today to be hopping along for Day 2 of a 2 day Blog Hop to celebrate the Fabulous NEW Believe in You Release from Simon Says Stamp!!! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! And check out the graphic at the end of this post for info on a free gift with purchase including Tim Holtz products - no coupon required through Sunday, June 9th, 2019 as well (code expires at 11:59 PM EST)!!!

For my card today, I paired up the lovely new Sunflower Frame Die with a background I created using Gouache Paint - I picked up a set right before leaving on vacation, and was super excited to give this medium a try!

I love how the gouache paints mix and blend - and have almost a chalky appearance - so pretty! I used 3 colors from the set I purchased from Simon Says Stamp and created wide stripes on a panel of watercolor cardstock, using a bit of water to help the colors move, and allowing them to blend in between colors.

Once that dried, I die cut the new Sunflower Frame Die from white cardstock, and layered it over the top, glueing it in place with Gina K Connect Glue.

Finished off by adding a sentiment from the new Lunch Box Notes 2 Stamp Set, heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock and mounted with foam in the top right corner. Finally, I mounted the entire thing on a Fog Cardbase.

I also posted this card yesterday using this same stamp set for the sentiments and some Distress Oxide Inks to create a galaxy background - you can check out the details on this card HERE if you're interested!

Here is the info on the free gift you will receive with any order including any Tim Holtz branded products through July 31st while supplies last:

Thin Washi Border with Florals - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Yesterday was Thursday, so that meant it was the day for my weekly Facebook Live video! If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. As always today, there was one giveaway for someone who watched live, so make sure and pop in next week to win that week's live giveaway - 10 AM Pacific time on Thursday morning!

In the meantime - here is some more info and photos of the card we made, as well as links to all the products used!

For yesterday's card we used a beautiful image from Blooming Bouquet stamp set, heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder on Watercolor Paper. The image was watercolored with Lavender and Sky Blue Watercolor, with just a touch of Aquamarine and Sapphire to mix in and get new shades.

While that dried, we added several strips of the Water Color Fantasy Thin Washi Tape to a panel of white cardstock, then die cut with the Simple Edgers Die Set

I used the same scallop edge on the edge of the (now dry) watercolored panel. This allowed me to layer them together so the washi peeked out in layers from behind the watercolor panel.

The entire panel was adhered to a white card base, then we masked off the top and bottom edges with Post It Tape and added a few splatters with the Lavender and Sky Blue Liquid Watercolors to finish off.

Gifts, Cards, and Cake - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with yet another card I made last month (oops - I know a bit late to share!) - using some beautiful stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp paired up with a bit more of the Shimmer Powders that I have so fallen in love with!

For this card, I die cut a piece of plain cardstock using Nested Circles Wafer Dies, then used the negative as a mask to lay over my watercolor paper. No need to adhere it in place - I simply laid it over the top of a panel of watercolor paper die cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die, misted the circle with water, sprinkled on some Atlantis Burst Shimmer Powder, then removed the mask, and set it aside to mix, blend, and dry!

Once it dried SUPER thoroughly (think overnight perhaps?) - I used my MISTI to line up and stamp a fun sentiment from Big Birthday Greetings, stamping it a couple times for a nice clear impression. I added the cake image from the stamp set, and another small sentiment heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock. Finished off by adding a a scallop mat die cut using a Mama Elephant Basic Die, and added the entire thing to a coordinating colored cardbase!

Reach for the Stars - Simon Says Stamp Believe in You Release

Hello! I'm stopping by tonight to share a card using some of the BRAND NEW Believe in You Release from Simon Says Stamp! There is also a 2 day blog hop coming up this weekend, so make sure and check back for that - as always, there will be giveaways at every stop, and tons of inspiration on each day as well!

My first card to share tonight uses the fun new Lunch Box Notes 2 Stamp Set and a distress ink galaxy background!

I started off by stamping and heat embossing my sentiment in white on a panel of white cardstock, then masking off the edges using Post it Tape. I then blended a mix of 3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks over the panel, then added some splatters of water, white paint thinned with a bit of water, and some Starry Colors for a bit of gold.

I removed my mask, and once it dried, I carefully wiped any excess ink or splatters of my sentiment - the heat embossing perfectly "resists" the ink, and removes easily! I finished off by mounting the panel on a cardbase created with Hero Arts Plum Cardstock - such a lovely shade!

Shimmer Powder Sympathy - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with a card I made last month (oops - I know a bit late to share!) - using some beautiful stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp paired up with a bit more of the Shimmer Powders that I have so fallen in love with!

For this card, I stamped the beautiful Floral Mix Background on watercolor paper and heat embossed it in white. I only stamped once, so didn't get a full crisp image, but I kind of liked the slightly interesting texture I gained by doing it that way! I normally would have tossed it, but the end result was so pretty, I couldn't let it go! I sprinkled on some Catherine Wheel shimmer powder, misted it with water, and left it alone to dry and do it's magic.

I added a perfect sympathy sentiment from Moments of Grace, layered over some vellum leaves die cut using Clustered Leaves Wafer Die, then matted the panel with white cardstock and adhered onto a coordinating red cardbase to finish.

Stu-pand-ous Party - Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share another card created with the BRAND NEW Agusut Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Party Like a Panda! This kit is so bright, fun, and happy - perfect for lots and lots of birthday cards! The stamp set has the cutest panda images - and the PERFECT sentiments as well! The pattern paper is bright and fun, the adorable coordinating panda die is super sweet, and the Thermoweb flock sheets and sparkle pen are the perfect little additions!

Today's card also uses a lot of the pattern paper, and one of the adorable images and sentiments from the cute stamp stamp set included in the kit!

I started off by stamping and fussy cutting out what is probably the CUTEST panda from the entire stamp set! I layered some pattern paper together, tearing the edge of some of the green paper, and used this as a base for my panda to rest on.

Next, I die cut a banner using Basic Banners Dies, and stamped my sentiment with a mix of colored and black ink. I wrapped some jute twine around the top of it, then adhered it to my cardbase with foam adhesive. I colored the bow on the panda too coordinate with the sentiment, then adhered him on there with foam adhesive as well!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

What is your favorite part of this kit? Would love to hear what you are excited to play with!

Floral Washi Small Element Wreath Card - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Yesterday was my first Facebook Live video since coming home from vacation! We had an amazing trip to Iceland, Norway, and Sweden (mostly Norway) - but it is also lovely to be home, and I enjoyed getting to see everyone on the Facebook Live again.

This card uses all those beautiful small elements on that part of the Painted Florals Washi Tape, paired up with the coordinating dies from Floral Elements Dies - love that they work together like this, and yet these dies also work with the Floral Elements Stamp set! Versatility at it's best!

I adhered the washi to 80 lb white cardstock, die cut with the coordinating dies, then arranged them in a wreath design. I picked up the arrangement with Press and Seal, added foam adhesive to the back of each piece, then flipped over and adhered onto my cardbase.

I used my MISTI to add a sentiment from My Favorite Things to Say (one of my favorite sentiment sets!) - then added the look of "splatters" by using the small dot image from Floral Elements Stamp Set. Finished off by rounding off two corners of the card for interest (forgot to do this in the LIVE, so finished it afterwards!)

Happy Panda Birthday - Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share a card created with the BRAND NEW Agusut Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Party Like a Panda! This kit is so bright, fun, and happy - perfect for lots and lots of birthday cards! The stamp kit has the cutest panda images - and the PERFECT sentiments as well! The pattern paper is bright and fun, the adorable coordinating panda die is super sweet, and the Thermoweb flock sheets and sparkle pen are the perfect little additions!

I'm a little late sharing my first cards - since I was gone on vacation until just before the kit released, it took me a couple days to get over jet lag and get my crafty mojo back, but this kit was a fun way to start that process!

I started off by die cutting the darling Picture Book Panda from white cardstock over which I had adhered some Scor Tape adhesive sheets. I then peeled off the sheets selectively to apply the fun flock in white and black from the kit! I don't know if you can see the photo how adorable and fuzzy this panda is:

I used some of the pattern paper to create a window, first die cutting it with the largest Stitched Rectangle, then the center with Stitched Ovals. Next, I stamped the birthday balloons from the Party Like a Panda stamp set on my white cardbase, lining it up in the window, and coloring with Copics. I added a layer of sparkle with the sparkle pen in the kit - you see it best in this next photo:

Finally, I added the panda with foam adhesive, heat embossed some additional sentiments from the kit on thin strips of black cardstock and adhered those with foam adhesive, and added a bit more pattern paper with a torn edge along the bottom. Finished off with a bit more jute twine tied across the top!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

What is your favorite part of this kit? Would love to hear what you are excited to play with!
