Love Love Love - Pretty Pink Posh January Release Instagram Hop

Good morning! I'm excited today to be hopping along for Day 4 of a Four day Instagram Release Hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW January Release from Pretty Pink Posh! This release is full of hearts, love, and Valentines Day of course! You can head over to Instagram to join that hop, and enter to win today's giveaways! I thought I would share more details here on my blog on my card - since it is always tough to put enough info in an Instagram post!

I love the colors on these cards! For both cards, I featured pattern paper from the Carta Bella 6x6 Fruit Stand paper pad. On the top card, I used it to die cut the Fringe Heart Die layers, and on the second card, I used them to die cut the Love Script word die 4 times. For the background on the first card, I used the XOXO Pierced Plate die - I love the texture that gives! The second die uses the Diamond Grid stencil with a mix of Bubblegum, Seafoam, Zest, and Melon inks blended on it. I then used the new Doily Borders die to cut both sides of a panel of white cardstock to adhere over the top. Added some white hemp twine to the top, and then added the love words overlapping on the bottom. For all of the "love" word, I die cut a couple extra times from plain white cardstock to layer up for more dimension. On the first card, I added some Tonic Glitter Drops in Blizzard over the entire word for extra sparkle! Finished off with some Ivory Pearls on both cards for an elegant finishing touch! Here are more photos of these cards:

Hello Friend Sailboat - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm sharing a card today, and I took a bit of a dive back into some older supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I love how this simple little scene turned out!

The scene was mostly built with the older Your Light stamp set, colored in with my oft neglected Copic markers. I added the sentiment from Narwhal Friends stamp set, stamped in Cranberry and Dusk inks - gotta love a good color stamped sentiment! I added a torn edge along the left and bottom edges, tied some white Lawn Fawn hemp twine around the top, then adhered with foam adhesive on a Fog cardbase. Finished off with a few Prism dazzling gems, and a bit of Nuvo Glitter drops to enhance the clouds and the waves at the bottom! Here are more photos of the finished card:

Frosty Woods Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm back today with a couple light and airy woodsy birthday cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I love how the white cardstock all layers together for fun texture, but a light and frosty look!

For these cards, I used the newer Woodland Treescape die set - and only used two of the larger layers, and then a couple of the individual trees. I love the way this set has great options - you can use all or just some of them for different looks! I added some pattern paper at the back to mimic a snowy sky, and used thin foam adhesive to layer everything up for a touch of simple dimension. Sentiments are from Birthday Basics stamp and die set - the pop of black is so crisp and clean! Finished off with some Lawn Fawn Hemp twine tied in a loose bow at the top, and then a few Gloss White Sparkle gems for some subtle texture and sparkle. Here are more photos of these cards:

Sending Big Hugs - Simon Says Stamp To Love Release

Good morning! Stopping by today with my first card using the To Love Release from Simon Says Stamp! This is an extra little release tucked into the month of DieCember, and a bit of a head start on the new year of crafting! I created this little card with a couple new stamp sets from the release!

For this card, I used a few of the smaller hearts from the new Retro Hearts stamp set, and layered them together tone-on-tone in a fun grid pattern. I love the soft pastel tones on these! I stamped a sentiment from another new set, Circle Sentiments. I love the scripty font in the sentiments in this set! I created a window from Ivory cardstock using Stitched Rectangles die, added some Clear Dazzling Gems, and wrapped some Lawn Fawn white hemp twine around to finish this card off. Here is a closer look at the finished project:

To Someone Who Makes Others So Happy - Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm so happy to be participating on a special Instagram hop to celebrate (or help!) two very talented crafters make the last final push to 10K followers (on Instagram, this gives the fun swipe up feature in stories). The hop is sponsored by Altenew with some great giveaways as well - you can check out on my Instagram page HERE for more info.

I thought I would also post my card here with more details as well as links to what I used - just makes it easier if anyone is wanting more info!

I used the beautiful Frilled Petals stamp set from Altenew - for some reason it was a stamp set I had in my stash and hadn't ever used! So this was a perfect opportunity. I stamped it with layers of Pinkfresh Studio inks - layered stamping is so fun and relaxing for me!

I built my sentiment to honor the two friends (you can find them HERE and HERE) - they are both so talented and make so many people happy on Instagram, so it seemed fitting!

I trimmed the panel down, added a couple of score lines at the top and bottom for texture, and a few sparkly clear jewels from Pretty Pink Posh, then added a tiny twine bow before mounting the entire panel with foam on a card base created with Altenew's Spicy Yogurt cardstock.

Spellbinders Sew Sweet Hand Cards

Hello! I was honored this month to be a guest designer on the Spellbinder's Blog to share cards using the brand new Sew Sweet Collection from Tammy Tutterow! Tonight I'm sharing the first couple of cards that I shared on their blog a week ago - you can view that post HERE

This collection is full of fun elements for cards and projects celebrating the art of the handmade - my mind first went to handmade quilts and gifts! But I also saw possibilities for other creative uses for this collection, so I decided to start with a couple cards that use these products for perhaps a different use than they were originally intended!

To start off, when I saw this sentiment from #Handmade stamps, my mind immediately thought of a very good friend of mine that is an ASL interpreter. So I had to make a card for her!

I stamped the sentiment, and layered some of the images from the same stamp set (as well as a flower from Sew Tiny Sentiments stamp set. I also added some chevron border elements using Shapeabilities Sew Sweet Trims die set, and used this same die set to die cut a kraft border to tuck under the edges of the front stamped white panel.

I wrapped some hemp twine around that panel, added some white gel pen accents, and then mounted that on a cream colored cardbase.

And then, of course, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the fabulous hand die from Shapeabilities From Heart and Hand die set was a hand waving hello!

I did some ink smooshing in green and aqua inks for my background, also adding some white paint splatters. Once that dried, I added some washi tape along the bottom, and some letter stickers to build my sentiment!

And to make it more fun and interactive, I used a mini Action Wobble to attach the hand - so that it can ACTUALLY wave!

Thanks to the Action Wobble, do you see how it pops out at you from the card as well?

So there you go! Do you like stretching your stamps and dies to find more creative uses for them? I love to find unique ways to use things that I already have!

Which one is your favorite? Would you make a card like this?
