New Little Critter Baby Shower Invitations

Good morning! Dropping by to share some baby shower invitations I made with a friend earlier this week! SOOOO happy with how they turned out! The shower is going to be woodland animal themed for a little boy - so these adorable Avery Elle Storybook and More Stories stamp sets were perfect! We were also able to achieve a flat and easy to mail design! YAY!

We made 8 each of 3 different designs. The sentiments were printed from the computer, trimmed into a banner, and with a bit of distress ink applied to soften the colors a bit. Each critter was stamped on watercolor paper, softly colored in, then cut out. We layered some older Authentique papers that I had in my stash (no idea what lines - I just have lots of them and have saved them specifically for things like this!) - and added some messy stitching on the bottom to ground the images. The woodgrain paper is also some older Avery Elle stuff that I had in my stash from a while back, but I believe is discontinued. Would be easy to reproduce with am embossing folder and kraft cardstock though I imagine. We adhered the animals with strong adhesive, but only in the centers. This allows for a bit of dimension, while still keeping the flat design easy to drop in the mail.

Anyway - here is a closer look at each of the designs:

And here are links to as many of the supplies as I could link to - thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Peace Love and Joy Tags

Good morning! Popping in this morning to share the next set of cards I made for a friend - this time a set of 4, with two each of different color combos:

I also made these to join in on the current AEI{heart}U Challenge - Metallics:

I did two of the tags with gold embossing powder, and two with silver - then used some distress ink on the edges to add a bit more of a vintage feel to them.

I heat embossed, watercolored, then fussy cut out the little birds from the same Avery Elle stamp set as the sentiment, then adhered them at the bottom with a little coordinating silver or gold thread tucked under.

At the top, I looped in some ribbon, tucked a bit of doily underneath, layered on a large gold or silver sequin, and attached them with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.

I think these might be my favorites of the set - although I keep changing my mind! Here are the supplies used on these - I couldn't link the ribbon, since it was older and from my stash and I couldn't find it! Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

Blog Birthday Giveaway #3 - Avery Elle

Good evening!!! So - this little blog is celebrating FIVE years this month - on October 20th!!! I can hardly believe it has been that long, and yet in some ways I don't remember not doing this. I have been SOOOO incredibly blessed by all the amazing people I have met through this hobby - and so incredibly lucky to work with some AMAZING products and companies. To celebrate I have lined up TONS of giveaways from some of these amazing places. HUGE thanks to each of them for their generous donations of prizes - I'm super excited to be able to share them with you!

Tonight I am featuring Avery Elle stamps! The owner, Jamie, sent me a brand new Lot of Love stamp set to giveaway! This set was actually one of my first Avery Elle sets - and I loved what a unique Valentine set it was - and I know we are thinking fall and Christmas right now, but Valentine's will be here before we know it! So this set will be very timely for whoever wins! Avery Elle has some phenomenal dies - very unique and versatile that I have been loving! They also have such a fun combination of cute and classy stamps - LOVE the variety you can find, and always look forward to seeing the new releases!

Here is my card to share tonight - actually the card I made for my youngest daughter's 11th birthday - can you tell she LOVES animals?

I'm also playing along with Avery Elle's Challenge blog - this week the challenge is to Think Pink (All the little "woof" words in the background? Stamped in pink if you notice!):

I started off with Furry Friends and stamped a background with several colors of MFT ink and some of the smaller stamp images in the set. I then stamped and colored the dogs, cat, and accessories, colored them with Copics, and fussy cut out. Added a stamped sentiment from Cake & Candles (an awesome birthday sentiment set!) and heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock. Attached it all with foam adhesive over my stamped background to form the cute little scene. Oh - and my daughter loved it - the real test!

You can enter the giveaway below using Rafflecopter - this is my first time using this method for a giveaway, but since I have so many to do this month I thought it might help make it easier! So - if there are any bumps along the way, please forgive me as I figure them out?

All giveaways will stay open until the 20th (the official birthday date!) and I will announce all winners that day! If you already follow on Pinterest, Youtube, or Facebook - feel free to leave your name for each day of giveaways, no need to be a new follower only!

Have a wonderful day - and good luck!

Snowflake Make a Wish

Hello again! Here to share another card tonight that I made today to play along with a couple challenges - a little winter with some un-traditional colors!

For this one, I pulled out Noel Clear Stamps, just because it felt like a long time since I had used them! I also used a sentiment from Cake & Candles (a birthday set, but I thought this one fit well with the snowflake image as well!). They were both heat embossed in white on some green PTI cardstock, and then I added some sequins from Avery Elle's Royal Blend Sequins and attached those on the snowflakes to coordinate with the plum cardbase using MFT cardstock. Die cut the front panel using Wonky Stitches Elle-ments, and added a small mat of white cardstock.

Thanks for dropping by again - have a great evening!

Celebrate - Happiest Birthday Wishes

Good morning! Oh how I love the adorable elephants that keep coming out from my favorite stamp companies! They just never get old - and neither do watercolors, so it was a no-brainer to pair the two together!

I made this for the current AEI{heart}U Challenge - Watercolor:

I stamped the cute elephant, balloon, and bunny from the sweet Ellie stamp set, and added a sentiment from Cake & Candles underneath. I used MFT dye inks to watercolor - smooshing them on my nonstick mat, then picking up with a wet brush. Added a bit of clear Stickles for some sparkle, as well as a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Used some PTI and MFT cardstock for my cardbase.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

The Man. The Myth. The Legend

Good morning! Dropping by this morning with a card I made a little while back with a stamp set I had been eyeing for quite some time and finally got my hands on - I used it to make a Father's Day Card!

Since I had never used this - I thought I would link it up with the Never Before Used Schtuff Challenge:

The stamp set is from Avery Elle called The Man - and I used some MFT ink and cardstock on my card, a few enamel dots, a couple tiny Tim Holtz staples, and a tiny bit of MME woodgrain paper.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
