Good morning - and HAPPY MOTHER'S Day! I'm stopping by today to share a couple of last minute Mother's Day cards I put together the past couple days. The beautiful thing is that these would still work for a birthday card for a special mom, or just a general thank you or note. So...if you feel inspired - do feel like you have to wait an entire year to send or give a card to your mom! :)
I actually copied the layout of one of my cards from the Pretty Pink Posh new release Blog Hop posted on Friday (you can see it HERE) - and changed up the sentiments and some of the colors. I just loved the arrangement of those cards, so it was perfect to make use of it again for these cards, changing them up to fit the occasion.
For this first one, I colored the fuchsia's from Pretty Pink Posh's new Flourishing Fuchsia stamp set the same as my original card, and just changed up the background paper. I added a die cut "mom" using Simon Says Stamp Bold Mom Wafer Dies, cutting it twice from white cardstock and adhering together to make it a little thicker. I adhered it with foam adhesive for some dimension, then heat embossed a thin sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Messages for Everyday - LOVE this stamp set for nice little add on sentiments! Also added a tiny additional sentiment form Mom Flowers Stamp Set.
The next card, I changed up the colors of the fuchsia's, going with one of the more traditional color combos I think of when I think of these flowers.
I've been enjoying coloring with my Copics lately in a way that mimics watercolors - so fun and easy, and I think it is a fun different look!
I added the same sentiment combo on this card, only used the shadow of the "mom" word from the Simon Says Stamp Bold Mom Wafer Dies. Finished off both cards with some of the new Pretty Pink Posh jewels!
