Thanks Sweet Friend - Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Good morning! I couldn't get enough of the sweet strawberry die in the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Always There Release - so I'm back today with another card, this time featuring a bit of ink blending on the die cut pieces - I love how it makes them come alive even more! And just like butterflies, I can't get enough strawberries!!!

The Strawberry Pint die is just adorable no matter how you use it - but adding a touch of ink blending just makes it come alive! I die cut using Lipstick, Green Apple, Green Leaf, Honey, and white cardstocks, then ink blended a bit of Brick ink on the red layer of the strawberries, a bit of Kale on the large leaves, and a bit of Buttercream ink on the white flowers. I used a Cream cardbase, then cut a white frame with Sparkler Scallop Frames and a couple smaller layers of Apricot with the same die. I arranged little strawberry clusters on those small layers, then die cut the Sweet word die from that same lipstick cardstock, added a thanks from Small Thanks, and the friend word from For the Birds to build my own custom sentiment. I tied a pretty bow of May Arts Faux Silk white ribbon around, and added a sprinkle of Clear Dazzling gems to finish them off! Here are more photos of all that summery sweetness:

Enjoy the Ride Graduation - Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Good morning! I'm back today to share yet another card using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Always There Release! This one was a fun twist on a graduation card that I thought was kind of cute, and a little less traditional!

I started off by stamping the sweet little horse from Farm Sweet Farm on Rainbow Splash Caramel cardstock, and heat embossing it in white. I did the same with the grad hat from Graduation Greetings, but used black cardstock. I adhered them together, and mounted onto a die cut Stitched Circle, then stamped and added the sentiment as well. I used Fog cardstock to create a cardbase, then added thin strips of black cardstock across the cardfront before adhering the circle over top. Finished off with a frame created by die cutting with two sizes of A2 Notched Rectangles, then a sprinkle of Black Dazzling Gems to finish off the look! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

I put some of the ADORABLE new dies in this release to use, and created this sweet little trio of cards - the cuteness is just too much!

I started off by die cutting and assembling the adorable Fable Lion, Fable Elephant, and Fable Giraffe dies using a variety of different cardstock colors, and doing a bit of ink blending on the pieces to add some extra dimension. Cardstocks and inks are all listed below! I also die cut and created windows and layered frames using the new A2 Notched Rectangles dies and Sparkler Scallop Frames. The frame around the window is white glitter cardstock, and I tucked some pattern paper behind from Carta Bella Lemonade 6x6 paper pad. I added sentiments from the new Classic Friendship stamp and die set, heat embossed in gold, and then added coordinating gems in opposing corners of each card. Finished off with a few white gel pen dots on the cheeks (that also had a bit of soft pink inking on them) and coordinating bows from Prima yarn. Here are lots more photos, and closer images of each of these adorable critters!

Teal and Yellow Lattice - Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Good morning! I'm back today to share another card using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Always There Release - and I realized this card still uses a lot of die cutting, but it also adds some stenciling and ink blending, as well as a completely different color combo. I love the bold colors on this one with the dainty die cutting!

For this one, I started with a Sea Glass cardbase, and used the Willowweave stencil to ink blend right on the cardbase with Surf and Ocean inks. I then die cut the Willowweave plate die from white cardstock, and layered it over top with tiny dots of liquid glue. The sentiment is the new Timeless Thanks word, for which I used black cardstock for the main layer, and cut the shadow layer once from vellum and once from Audrey blue cardstock. I adhered the word on the vellum, then offset the Audrey blue one for a shadow effect. Secondary sentiment is from a cute little set called Floral Word Builder Sentiments (which coordinates with another, larger set - but is versatile for adding on to other sets!), I stamped the cute little banner in Honey ink, then the secondary sentiment over top with black ink. Tucked a few of the cute new Dewpierce Tiny Butterflies cut from Honey cardstock around the card, then finished off with a few Dazzling Surf gems for some sparkle! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Pretty in Pink Strawberries - Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Hello! It's release time for the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Always There Release, and after taking a month off from releases to focus on the Create Event about a month ago, this release is SOOOOO good! I have so many projects to share with you with this release, and have them all scheduled since I am currently boarding a plane to take off on a fun trip with my daughter to Scotland for a week and a half. But for now - I'm starting off sharing my FAVORITE project from this release! It uses one of my new favorite dies (I LOVE strawberries, and these are darling!), lots of pink and girly colors and layers that make me swoon!

I started off with lots of the die cutting I mentioned in a recent post that I am loving lately, and used the NEW Strawberry Pint die with lots of colored cardstock. I used Lipstick and Schoolhouse for the strawberries, Honey for the back layer of the strawberries and the center of the flowers, Green Leaf and Green Apple for the leaves and strawberry tops, white for the flowers, and Apricot for the little pint basket. I die cut some panels using the new A2 Notched Rectangles from Ivory and white cardstock to nest together, and then arranged my die cut pieces, adhering with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive. I created a cardbase with Seashell cardstock, and adhered all my frames on to the cardbase. Sentiment is from the new Keep Palm stamp set, and I added a loose and loopy bow with Lawn Fawn white twine and a few Dazzling Sprout gems on the tops of the strawberries! Here is a closer look at this fun and girly card:

Bright Layered Florals - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I feel like I have really fallen in love with die cutting this year - I seem to go through different phases of favorite card techniques, and I've really found sitting and die cutting from various pieces of colored cardstock is such a relaxing and fun way to spend my time. And when a floral die is as pretty as this one from Simon Says Stamp - well, it's hard to stop then! I realized after I finished, that this card had no stamping on it at all, so it is really letting the die cutting shine!

I used the lovely Honeybell Floral die for this - one that had been sitting in my pile waiting to be used, so it was definitely time to break it out! I die cut it using Lipstick, Cotton Candy, and Sage cardstocks, then assembled each one together, varying the flowers randomly on each one. I created a cardbase from Cream cardstock, then started arranging the floral clusters until I had an arrangement that I liked, at which point I adhered them with liquid glue. I added some white splatter over the entire card then, so it layered on the florals as well as the cardbase. I added some Bright Butterflies cut from Honey cardstock, the Thank You sentiment die cut from white and black cardstock, then rounded off both right corners of the card to fit the movement of the florals. I added several tiny coordinating Dazzling gems in Bubblegum, Sprout, and Butter, then grabbed a fine line Sharpie to add a sketchy outline to the card to pull it all together! Here are more photos:
