Rainbow Twine

So, once again I submitted some cards for the publication call at PaperCrafts Magazine. This was only my second attempt, and with over 1,300 cards submitted and only 100 spaces open, I was once again not to surprised or disappointed to not get any picked up. However - it won't stop me from trying again! And either way - I had lots of fun making these!

Anyway, I just saw a Rainbow Challenge posted over at Erin Lee Creative - who also had a card not chosen (and I must say, hers is BEAUTIFUL, so the once picked must be real stunners! Can't wait to see them!). So...I figured I might as well post one of these now! This was one of my favorites for the rainbow section - which for some reason really inspired me (I actually submitted 6 cards in this section!). Here is the card:


I ran eyelets down the side of a card, threaded through rainbow colors of twine, and tied them in bows. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co. The front layer is pop-dotted and matted on black, white, then the blue card.

    OMGoodness! This is soooooo clever! I love it. The sentiment works PERFECTLY and I love the twine. It reminds me of a corset. You have a great attitude about continuing to try. Thanks for joining my colorful challenge!

    what a very cool card. I love how you did the eyelets. Makes me think this would be a very fun way to tie my daughters shoes. : )
