Day 5 Growing in Unity and FWF - Chalkboard Snowflakes

Good Friday morning! Can't believe it's Friday already! What a fun week I've had with my Unity Stamps! This is my last Day of Growing in Unity, so if you haven't had a chance yet to leave comments on the rest of the week - feel free to do so now for a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty's of your choice!

Here is what I made for today - also including Unity Friends with Flair:
I decided to play a little with some of the fun chalkboard techniques I have seen popping up lately. Don't know if I have mastered it yet - but I kind of like how this came out! Here is the Unity set I used (one of my current FAV'S!!!):

Snowflake Kisses - $26.00

I so very much love this kit! I stamped a few of the snowflakes on chalkboard paper, and heat embossed them in white. Added the sentiment at the bottom, then a bunch of little lines with my white gel pen. I don't know if it worked, but I was trying to capture the motion of the snowflakes falling.
I added some papers from my stash that I got out of a clearance bin (so sorry...don't know the manufacturers).
Everything looked just a bit too crisp, so I took my Tim Holtz distress tool to all the edges to rough them up a bit.
Added some lace from Ribbon Carousel, some black jute twine, and an October Afternoon button.
Finally - just because it felt like it needed a touch more...I added some self adhesive pearls in different sizes.
Thanks so much for joining me this week! Hope you have a wonderful week - and a Merry Christmas!!!
