Beautiful Fuchsia's - Pretty Pink Posh May Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Today is the second day of the fun blog hop to celebrate the new Pretty Pink Posh May Release! Fabulous new stamps, gorgeous dies, and the most beautiful jewels EVER! You can check out the entire release HERE. There is TONS of inspiration to be found along the blog hop - and a few fabulous giveaways as well!

I have two floral cards to share today using the beautiful new Flourishing Fuchsia's stamp set. I stamped ALL the images from the stamp set once - and the leaves a few times each - then die cut them with the coordinating dies and was able to create two cards with them all. I also used some of the gorgeous new jewels and a couple of the other stamp sets for the sentiments and such!

I looked up images of fuchsias on Pinterest - we used to have several hanging baskets of them around our back porch, so it was fun seeing all the images and recalling my favorites! I colored these in what was probably my favorite color combo back then using Copic markers.

Once they were all colored, I arranged them in a way I was pleased with, picked them all up with a piece of Press and Seal wrap, added foam adhesive to the back of everything, and then pressed it all in place. Just before I adhered the florals, I added a sentiment from the new Simple Says: Life stamp set. Finally, I and added a few of the new Ivory Jewels to finish off.

While that first card used bold colors for the florals, for the next card I kept the images soft and dreamy by outlining inside the images with a Copic marker, then going over the edges with a Colorless blender. This added a touch of soft color without harsh lines.

I added a the birdie and sentiment from the Happy Mail Stamp set, cutting out the bird with the coordinating dies, and sprinkled on a few of the new Pearl White Jewels.

For both cards I used pattern paper from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad - the soft gingham was the perfect backdrop for those lovely fuchsias, don't you think?
