Good morning! A couple weeks ago, we went on a nice long road trip. Since my daughter has her Driving Permit, we allowed her to do a good bit of the driving to get lots of practice in! So I spent a couple hours in the backseat...and of course, had to bring something along to do - and what better than watercolors? I especially love having some of Simon Says Stamp's Suzy's Watercolor Prints on hand for just such occasions - these particular ones came from the darling Punder the Sea set. I brought two along that I could watercolor nice and leisurely, then finally got them completed on cards last week:
Because I can't just leave them simple, I always try to do something fun to dress them up later at home - for these I pulled out some Nuvo Jewel Drops and Nuvo Glitter Drops!
For the octopus, I was very generous with the Nuvo Glitter drops - adding lots of glittery details in colors that coordinated with the watercolor.
And on the whales, I went a little crazy with the Nuvo Jewel Drops!
It's kind of fun the dimension and texture it adds though, don't you think?
Once all that dried, I simply trimmed the panels down slightly and mounted on white cardbases.
