Layered Tulip Easter Card Trio - Simon Says Stamp Lucky To Know You Release

Good morning! Finally getting around to posting some of my first cards with the Simon Says Stamp Lucky to Know You release that happened last week! A little later than planned, so some items are still out of stock, but can be purchased on reserve to ship as soon as they become available.

These cards and video were supposed to be for the blog hop last week. I had the cards and video ready, and just awaiting the voiceover when I returned home from Disneyworld. Things didn't go as planned, and I ended up coming down with the flu (Influenza A) while in Orlando...and considering the things going around now, I am very grateful that was all, even though it was sufficiently miserable to be stuck in a hotel and feeling yucky! So my return home was delayed a few days, and then when I finally did get home, I didn't have any voice, so had to wait to finish the video so I could get these posted. Finally starting to feel myself again, and so happy to be ready to post these finally!

Here is the video sharing how these came together - using my MISTI and the Layered Tulips stamp set to stamp multiple color combinations, and then adding details with colored pencils for more depth and realism. So super simple and easy! You can also watch the video on my YouTube channel HERE if you prefer.

Here is a closer look at each of the color combos - this first one uses Dusty Sage, Laurel Green, Cotton Candy, and Hollyhock Die Inks.

Once I finished the shading, I went ahead and cut each panel down using my Stitched Rectangles dies.

This next card uses Catkin, Willow, Duckling, and Coral Reef Dye Inks:

I also used my Starry Colors Palette to add varying colors of gold splatter to each panel.

And finally, this card uses Key Lime, Fern, Twirling Tutu, and Magnolia Dye Inks:

Some coordinating colored cardstock adds a simple thin mat under each panel for a pop of color.

The sentiments were added using another new stamp set - CZ Design Clean Line Faith, mixing and matching the sentiments and stamping in black ink.

Another great thing about these cards? While not entirely one layer, they are nice and flat and easy to mail! Always nice to find a design that has lots of dimension like these florals, but still is easy to drop in the mail.

Which color combo is YOUR favorite? I would love to hear!
