Plaid and Sparkly Snowflake cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning everyone! Stopping by today a couple of wintery cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I broke out the glitter for these, and despite the fact I created them over a week ago, I'm pretty sure I still have glitter everywhere in my craft room! But so worth it - I love how these cards came out!

I started by die cutting the lovely Dancing Snowflakes wafer die from white cardstock, covering it with a glue pen, then sprinkling on Unicorn Confetti glitter. I let them dry, then shook off most of the excess, although it continued to sprinkle itself about the house - haha! I trimmed down some pertty pattern paper from Yuletide Plaid 6x6 paper pad to slightly smaller than my card bases, adhered that down, then added the snowflakes with tiny dots of liquid adhesive. I added the sentiments from Sentiment Strips Love Joy Peace, popped up on a thin foam adhesive strip, then finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal sprinkled about. Here is a closer look at these finished cards:

  1. Love the cards. The white glitter looks so nice with the pretty plaid cardstock. I make a mess with glitter, but still love it. Have you ever tried Distress Glitter Dust Vintage Platinum? I love the Distress Glitter Rock Candy, but the Vintage Platinum is my very favorite. It is very hard to find now, however. I just bought two from a small store in PA, online and got the last two. Back to your cards. I love the snowflakes all glittery on the plaid and will be trying it today!
