STAMPtember Collaboration - Hero Arts AND Ink Blot Shop

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have not one but TWO companies - and I have a card for both of them! First up - Hero Arts!

For this card I created a blended background with Distress Oxide inks, and added my images in a silhouette style on that background!

I used Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire (of course!), and Dusty Concord for my blended background, masking off the lower portion of my panel, and added a good bit of splatters with Perfect Pearls for sparkle and texture.

Next, I used my MISTI to stamp the images and sentiments on it, staggering them over that line I masked off. I kind of wish I'd moved the bench down ever so slightly, but had to roll with it as it was! Finished off with a bit of jute twine tied in a knot for texture, and mounted the entire thing on an Ivory cardbase to contrast slightly with the white panel.

Here is a better look at this fun set:

And next up - we have Ink Blot Shop!

This card has the cutest images for creating fun scenes - so I rolled with that!

I stamped everything in Copic friendly ink on white cardstock - using the straight line with the tent and the trees to stamp off the edges at different heights to add some depth to the scene.

I colored it all in with Copics markers in soft colors, and added a ground under the images to give them a stable place to rest. Finished off by mounting it on some coordinating plaid pattern paper from My Favorite Things to finish off!

And here is a closer look at this adorable set:

Pineapples on Plaid

Good morning! I'm stopping by this morning to share one last card I made with some BRAND NEW release stamps from Ink Blots Shop, this one using many of the same sets I used on my first card I shared HERE.

I again began by stamping and layering together the pineapples from the adorable new Fruit Salad stamp set. There are lots of layer options and faces, arms, and legs - but I went with a slightly more realistic feel for my pineapples. I used several colors of Altenew ink, and did some rock and roll technique to get color variation on the base layer. I used the Plaid Background again, only this time I heat embossed it in white on my background, then mounted the pineapples over the top with foam adhesive. Added a little hello using Simple Sentiments and heat embossing it on a strip of black cardstock.

This release is celebrating Ink Blot's One Year (about) Anniversary!
*Some favorite stamp sets have been restocked
*The Tiny Bubbles Stamp Set is only $5

Hello Friend - Ink Blots Hello Lovely

Good morning! I'm stopping by this morning to share yet another card I made with some BRAND NEW release stamps from Ink Blots Shop, this time using Hello Lovely!

So much fun to stamp these girls and choose the face to add as well - and they lined up so easily and perfectly! I did some simple coloring with Copics, then die cut three small circles out of a panel of white cardstock. I fussy cut out the girls, leaving extra on the bottom to attach them behind my window. I stamped my sentiment in the bottom right corner, then foam mounted the entire panel on a cream colored card base for just a touch of soft contrast.

Thanks Adorable Pears!

Good morning! I'm stopping by this morning to share another card I made with some BRAND NEW release stamps from Ink Blots Shop! I used another adorable couple of images from the fun Fruit Salad stamp set for today's card!

These fruits have so many fun layers - it is so much fun to sit and stamp with them! I did some rock-and-roll inking on the fill in to the pears - basically inked the solid stamp up with yellow ink, then carefully rocked the bottom edges in a bit of green ink to add a touch of variation to the color.

I used my Simon Says Stamp Scallop Thanks Border Die on the front of my white cardbase, and backed it with some fun Lawn Fawn pattern paper, then mounted the pears with foam adhesive. Finished off with a bit of jute twine tied in a bow at the top!

Hello Pineapples - Ink Blot Birthday Release

{{{I have several posts today - if you are looking for the Simon Says Stamp Encouraging Words Blog Hop, click HERE or scroll down}}}

Good morning! I'm stopping by this morning to share a card I made with some BRAND NEW release stamps from Ink Blots Shop! I actually used FOUR of the NINE new sets released today on my card. I have 3 other cards I'll be sharing over the next day or two as well!

I started off by having fun stamping and layering together the pineapples from the adorable new Fruit Salad stamp set. There are lots of layer options and faces, arms, and legs - but I went with a slightly more realistic feel for my pineapples. I used several colors of Altenew ink, and did some rock and roll technique to get color variation on the base layer. The little hearts on the pineapples came from Stretched Sentiments - also where the large "hello" is from. I love the font on this set, and that it will stretch for either a horizontal or vertical A2 card! And can I say something about that FABULOUS Plaid Background? Oh my...I am in LOVE! For this card I heat embossed it in clear on my card base - and did my double embossing technique to heat emboss the hello as well. Added the pineapples (popping up the first one with foam adhesive) and a little add on to the sentiment from the new Simple Sentiments.

Floral Frenzy Cards - Ink Blots, LLC

Good morning! A few weeks ago, a crafty friend of mine who has started her own stamp company - Ink Blot Shop, LLC - asked me if I would be interested in creating a couple cards using her newest set called Floral Frenzy. It is was an adorable set, and I was thrilled to have a chance to play with it! It is a HUGE stamp set - 6 x 8 inches, and filled with darling floral images. As a new release, it is also on sale this week - you can check it out HERE. Here is a look at it:

Isn't it fun? So many fun possibilities and combinations with all these flowers! She also sent me a couple of sentiment stamp sets to use - here is the first card I put together:

Don't you just love those little smiley faces too? Adds such a fun whimsical look to these! I stamped them on a tag along with the dots along the bottom, colored them up with Copics, added a bit of doodling with a white gel pen, then layered on pattern paper with a doily. Finished off with a few Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh. Seriously - SOOOO cute!

Next up, I went with a softer and more elegant color combo:

This was hard to get a clear photograph of - I kind of wished I had stamped the sentiment in a deeper color, but it is really pretty in real life! On soft blue cardstock, I stamped a bunch all 3 rose images and a couple leaves around my sentiment, and one of the tiny dot flowers, heat embossed in white, and blended some distress ink around the edges. Added a few splashes of white paint, die cut and layered with a scallop frame, and mounted on a gray cardbase.

I hope you'll go check out Ink Blot Shop, LLC - especially if you like Bible Journaling! There are tons of sets perfect for that, and I really loved the quality of these as well - they stamped nice and crisp and clear!
