Good morning again! I'm excited to be this weeks Growing in Unity gal for Unity Stamp Company! If you don't know how it works, I get to share my projects all week long, and then pick a comment from sometime during the week to win two itty bitty stamps of their choice! So...the more comments you leave, the better chance you have of winning! I will draw and announce a winner on May 5th! I have been so in love with the Watercolor trend lately, that I decided to do a weeks worth of watercolor projects! I am also going to give away a set of the same watercolor paints I have been using all week - so you can try out the watercolor trend as well!
This is my last day - and also Friday, which means Friends with Flair! Here is my last card for the week:
This was another card inspired by an image I fount on Pinterest:
When I came across this image - I immediately thought of my February 2013 Kit of the Month with this fun photo booth image. I stamped it at a bit of jaunty angle on my watercolor paper, then painted it in using some My Favorite Things dye inks that I smooshed onto my nonstick mat and dipped a water brush into. These inks are the first thing I tried watercoloring with before I bought actual water color paints - and they work wonderfully!
I used my brush to splash some water, and some red ink onto my card, dried it with my heat gun, then splashed a bit more red on there for some more concentrated color spots. Heat embossed my sentiment from the same kit on a hand trimmed black cardstock banner, then matted my watercolor panel with black cardstock before adhering each layer at an angle with foam adhesive on my cream cardbase. Finished off with a couple enamel dots in the corner to balance it all out.
Also linking this up with a couple challenges - they are always so fun to play along with!
Then Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, and finally, CAS-ual Friday's Three Thirds (I used 3 papers: watercolor, black, and white - as well as 3 colors: red, black, and white):
Thanks so much for stopping by this week - and Unity Stamp Company for the fun opportunity to be the Growing in Unity Gal for the week! Have a wonderful Friday and weekend!!!
