EDITED TO ADD: This kit sold out in LESS than a day, but the good news is that even though the kit is gone, several of the items in the kit are still available, including the stamp set that so many people wanted to get their hands on! You can find it HERE if you're interested!
Good morning! I'm joining in with a blog hop this morning for a new Special Edition Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. It is actually a Halloween kit, but since I don't celebrate Halloween, I was quite pleased that I was able to use the kit (with some sentiments from different stamp sets) to make some non-Halloween cards. You should have arrived here from Heather Ruwe - if you just happened along and want to check out the rest of the hop, head over to Laura Bassen's blog and begin there.
GIVEAWAY ALERT: Since I don't celebrate Halloween, there are lots of elements in this kit that I won't use, so I would like to pass it along to someone else who would like it. I will include the stamp set (only one image used twice!), and some of the elements included in the kit. If you're interested, please mention it in the comments below, and I'll draw a winner early next week!

This first one I layered up some of the pattern papers, and stamped the little fairy onto watercolor paper, then colored her to coordinate.
I added a sentiment from a previously released stamp set, tore the top edge, and machine stitched it together - then finished off with a few of the sequins from the kit.
Next up, I went for a fairy birthday card!
For this one, I used some of the pattern paper and cardstock from the kit, and heat embossed that same fairy on the dark cardstock. Colored pencils worked great to color her in, but I left her wings, crown, and shoes uncolored, and filled them in with a heavy coat of the Tonic Purple Nuvo Crystal Drops in the kit - they dried so pretty and sparkly!
Finished off by die cutting some rectangles and inlaying for lots of layers, and again added a few of the sequins to embellish.
Here is a peek at the kit:
Simon Says Stamp is also doing an AMAZING giveaway for STAMPtember! You seriously need to go watch the video and register for a chance to win - you can find it and more info HERE!
