Good morning! So happy to be joining in today with a wonderful little blog hop to celebrate the the Hey Love release from Simon Says Stamp - this actually came out the end of December, but never got the attention of a blog hop because of the holidays - so, now is it's time to shine!
This release, as you would expect, is full of fun Valentine and Love theme products! First up, I have this little card using the very unique Heart Fold Wafer Die:
This release, as you would expect, is full of fun Valentine and Love theme products! First up, I have this little card using the very unique Heart Fold Wafer Die:
I cut it once out of pattern paper, then once from 80lb Neenah cardstock, and sandwiched them together before folding them out. I die cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die, adhered the front parts of the heart with foam adhesive to hold it in place, and backed the opening with some vellum.
Added a sentiment from Hey Love Stamp Set heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock and mounted with some foam tape, added a few enamel dots, mounted again with foam over the back pattern paper, and added some jute twine to finish off!
And finally, I have a couple easy cards that I put together with the fun Suzy's Take My Heart Watercolor Doodles Paintable Prints that I watercolored with Zig watercolor markers.
These were super fun and relaxing to color! And handy having them all printed and prepared to easily grab and work on when I had some spare time!
On this one, I added a bunch of Glossy Accents to the water in the bottom of the vase, and Stickles on the roses - just a simple way to add some interest and texture.
And then this one - I added Glossy Accents to the big words and centers of the flowers, then Stickles again on the heart and edges of the flowers.
I die cut them both with Stitched Rectangles, and adhered them to some pretty colored cardstock for a nice flat card that is easy to mail.
Now...there is a super fun prize up for grabs! Simon Says Stamp is offering a $25 gift certificate at each stop along the hop! Winner will be drawn Monday January 16th from comments left here on the blog - make sure and leave an email address to make it easier for to contact you if you are the lucky winner!
Here is the entire blog hop line-up:
