Doily Card Two Ways

Good morning again! Are you getting tired of doilies? I seem to be on a kick, with them lately - hopefully I'm not boring you! Today I have a couple more cards to share using the same stamp set as I used in this post HERE -  Simon Says Stamp Rebecca Lace Background stamp. I always love seeing how many different ways I can use a stamp set - and while this is the same image, today's techniques give them a TOTALLY different feel!

For the first card, I stamped and white heat embossed it on white cardstock, then did some blending with Oxide inks. Um...these things blend like a dream! I added some splashes of water and dried with a clean cloth for texture and effect. I fussy cut out the bottom edge, then cut a line through with a paper cutter near the top. I heat embossed a sentiment on vellum and then adhered it to the back of the split edges, then adhered the entire panel with foam adhesive on a white cardbase after adding a simple bow. This makes a nice window for the sentiment to shine!

The second one I did in a simple classic gold embossing - then did the same thing with the sentiment and twine and used a kraft card base.
