Good morning! So excited this morning to be hopping to celebrate the ADORABLE BRAND NEW release from Pretty Pink Posh - and it's a fabulous one!!! Keep reading for more info, details on my card I'm sharing today, AND of course, some giveaway info at the bottom as well!
And I know it is May already...and the post says April release - but since the release went live a couple days ago, it is considered the April release. Which makes me realize...how can it be MAY already?!?!?
And I know it is May already...and the post says April release - but since the release went live a couple days ago, it is considered the April release. Which makes me realize...how can it be MAY already?!?!?
So today I'm channeling my inner child and coloring up all these sweet little elephants from Elephant Friends in colors inspired by the Disney Dumbo movie - anyone else remember the "Heffalumps and Woozles" from Pink Elephants on Parade? I thought it would be fun to color them in varying pastel colors instead of traditional colors - and then layer them onto a long card instead of a typical A2 card size!
I created the "ground" in the background by hand trimming a piece of printer paper into the long half-oval shape, then used that as a mask to do some ink blending.
I used Antique Linen distress ink, then die cut the new Lattice Background and used it as a stencil to randomly apply some Dried Marigold Distress Ink. Since that die is smaller than the width of my card was, I used it a couple times, randomly changing the angle. I added some splatters of Perfect Pearls mixed with water, then removed my mask.
I added my colored assortment of elephants and accessories - cut out with the Coordinating Elephant Friends Dies - with foam adhesive for dimension, and added a few white gel pen accents to them as well.
Finished off by stamping my sentiment and adding a few Ivory Jewels for some sparkle!
This is such a fun and happy scene - don't you think? And I couldn't possibly adore those sweet elephants any more, which was why I had to use ALL of them on my card!
