Variation of Distress Ink Butterflies 2 Ways - Simon Says Stamp June 2020 Card Kit

Hello! I'm stopping by to share my a couple more cards created with the BRAND NEW June Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Beautiful Butterflies! So excited that after having to skip last month's card kit due to the Covid 19 shutdowns, they are back with this month's lovely kit! This kit is full of fun butterfly goodness - kind of fitting with everyone (hopefully) able to start coming out of isolation soon...I wonder how many good changes there will be? The included stamp set by the same name is just lovely and filled with fabulous sentiments, the fun Butterfly Trails stencil is super fun, the pattern paper is gorgeous, there is some beautiful Glitz Glitter Gel - not to mention the Cardstock, stickers, and more!

Today I'm sharing two more cards using the gorgeous stamp set in two different ways with Distress Inks for some fun effects! Similar techniques, and some different colors for these two cards! You can see the other post I shared - along with a tutorial video - HERE if you want more info.

This was the first version of the second set of cards - stamped in Distress Inks, then some of the color blended around with a wet brush, then stamped again over the top, allowing a bit of the color to bleed off the edges of each butterfly:

The next version was stamped again with the Distress Ink, then I used a brush to blend a LOT of the color around on the background. Re-stamped over the top with the same inks, then again with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with clear powder for some beautiful shine - here is a closer look at the second card:

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

Which version do you like best? Can you think of more ways to play with distress inks?
