Good morning! Stopping by today to share a card that might quite possibly be one of my favorites ever! I recently received a couple items from the NEW Birdhouses Through the Seasons by Vicky Papaioannou from Spellbinders - and I can't tell you how delightfully fun they are to play with! I had so much fun relaxing, die cutting, and creating this card. The details on these die sets are incredible! And I recently ordered some cardstock from Spellbinders - and loved how beautifully it die cut, and the colors were so fun as well!
I started off by using Essential Ovals dies to create a window in a panel of Alabaster cardstock to mount with foam over my white cardbase - this provided the grounding to build my fun scene! Then it was a matter of lots of die cutting to put this together. I started off with the adorable Build a Spring Birdhouse - I LOVE that it both die cuts, and adds that fun detail embossing as well! I cut it from Beeswax cardstock, and then again from kraft cardstock to trim off the roof and bottom of the house and adhere them over top. Also inset that tiny heart using Wild Berry cardstock.
I added some other details with Sweet Birds on a Branch die - using kraft cardstock to cut the branch, and then a mix of Waterfall and Lagoon cardstock, along with a touch of white and kraft. I then added lots of leaves from that set with the same colors, and then some flowers from the Build a Spring Birdhouse using Pink Sand and that same Wild Berry cardstock - switching out the dots in the centers of the flowers with the opposite colors.
Then it was just a matter of sprinkling those flowers and leaves around the scene - and tucking a hot foiled sentiment from Yana's Special Sentiments hot foil and die set for the perfect touch of gold shine, and a few sparkly PPP white jewels to finish this off!
