Noel City Scene 2 ways - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card that was from a few weeks ago on Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live - I had fun creating a 2 for 1 card design using some of this years fabulous Holiday Release!! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch these cards come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

You may notice that the card on the left in these photos looks different than it did at the end of the video. I did add a bit more to finish it off - I was going for clean and simple, but it ended up being more clean and simple than I intended, and needed to be glammed up a bit!

So, first things first! For both cards, I started with the Holiday City View stamp set and stencils to create my background, using a bit of a non-traditional color combo, and die cutting with a Diagonal Stitched Rectangle. I also added some white splatters to mimic snow. While that dried, I hot foiled the beautiful Noel hot foil plate using some of the Satin Metallic hot foils from Spellbinders, and then die cut the words from the center of my stenciled panel, creating a window for the Noel to peek through - and then saved those letters for my second card!

I popped the city panel over the hot foiled word using foam adhesive - this would also be super fun to turn into a shaker design! But popping it up with foam adds some fun dimension either way. :) I embellished this card with Sparkling Champagne Pearls - the perfect match!

For the second card, I adhered those letters with foam to the front of my white cardbase. While it was super fun that way, it felt a bit plain to me. So after the live video, I added a frame from Stitched Scallop Frames die cut from pink cardstock (I just LOVE how it pops with the colors on the houses!) - and then added a few snowflakes from Snowflake Background stamp, die cut with the coordinating die.

I bumped up the pink on this card by adding some Ballet Slipper jewels to the centers of the snowflakes for added sparkle.

For both cards, I added a stamped sentiment from Tidings of Great Joy, stamped in Detail Black, and trimmed to a small panel. Which one is your favorite?!?
