Soft Floral Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp Be Creative Release

Good morning! I'm here today to share a final couple of cards (for now!) using the Be Creative Release from Simon Says Stamp! While it's no surprise that I have a couple more birthday cards to share today, this time, they are super simple and soft - some lovely pattern paper and a beautiful sentiment with some soft layers...so easy and pretty!

The pattern paper I used for these is actually leftover for me from the March Card Kit - I may have to get more of it though, since it is so lovely! It is from Simple Stories, and I can't get enough of it!

I chose two similar pattern papers, and trimmed them to the width of a landscape A2 card, then trimmed them a bit shorter so I could adhere them with a border of white showing at the top and bottom of the card.

Sentiment is from Big Old Birthday, heat embossed in gold on vellum. I just love heat embossing on vellum - if you are careful and don't heat it too long, it won't curl up too badly. And it heats and melts so quickly, you don't have to worry about it going too long really! I tore the edges on the top and bottom of those for some added texture and interest.

I used a hole punch to punch a pair of holes in the left side of both the vellum and pattern paper. Stack them together and punch the same time to get perfectly placed holes!

I threaded through some sheer white ribbon from my stash, and tied it in a bow, attaching those two pieces together at the same time.

I adhered everything down onto my white cardbases, and then added a tiny dot of liquid glue behind the "Y" on the sentiment, to adhere it over the pattern paper and hold everything in place. It still allows the edges to float free and keep that ethereal vellum feel that I love!
