Good morning! Today I have a couple more cards to share using some more of the new You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp. These use one of my favorite sets from this release, and while still having lots of color, I love the light airy feeling they have!
I just love the new Big Botanicals set! Such a pretty and vintage vibe! For these cards, I stamped them using my MISTI, and used varying shades of ink cubes to get a variegated look. I stamped first in the lightest tone, only inking the flowers. Then partially inked with the next deepest tone, and stamped again. Finally, added a bit of the deepest tone alone the bottom or edge and stamped again. Repeated with the colors for the stems before die cutting. I used the new Hopping Hexagons embossing folder on some white cardstock, then cut at an angle with my paper trimmer. Because the design is so complex, you probably can't even tell that I flipped one piece over, so one card uses the embossed side, and one card uses the debossed side! Love the extra versatility! I ink blended a bit of the green inks behind the embossed pieces to help them pop, adhered the flowers, and then built stamped sentiments with a mix of Mother's Day stamp, and Inside Greetings 1 stamp. Finally, rounded off one corner to add some interest! Here are more photos of these finished cards:
