Nordic Framed Ornament - Simon Says Stamp Sugar and Spice Release

Good morning! I'm still loving the NEW Sugar and Spice Release from Simon Says Stamp, and today's card uses some similar cardstock colors as yesterday's card - as well as some leftover pieces. You may have noticed how much I love when I can put things to use on a new card when I have them left from a previous card! :)

This card uses a LOT of newly released items! I started off with the background actually, using Burnt Orange cardstock and embossing it with the Heirloom Ornaments embossing folder. I turned it over to the reverse side, and gently swiped my Terracotta ink cube over the surface. This made the debossed ornaments pop off the background - love this technique! I also added White Splatters to the background for even more texture. Next, I created a frame using the negative from one of yesterday's frames, die cut from A2 Rectangles from Dark Chocolate cardstock. I added a glittery frame cut with A2 Frames from Glacier glitter cardstock, then worked on the ornament. I die cut the Nordic Ornament die with the same glitter cardstock, then used Honey Gold for the topper, bow, and string. I adhered that together, popped it up with foam on my background, then trimmed the excess off the top before adhering the frame with foam adhesive. Finally, I die cut and assembled that new Loopy Bow die from white cardstock, and adhered it to the top of the card, and added a sentiment from the new EZ Strips Reverse Vintage Christmas, die cut with the EZ Strips Rounded Rectangles die. Oddly enough, I didn't add any bling to this card! Not because I didn't want to, but with all the glitter cardstock, gold cardstock, splatters, and layers, there just wasn't a spot that seemed to make sense to add them. Sigh...so I refrained. The struggle is real, am I right? Haha! Here are more photos of this finished card:
