Good evening! I've got a couple fun cards today using some recently released items from Simon Says Stamp, and actually using up some leftovers from another recent card to create an entirely different look! I die cut so many extras color layers for THIS card HERE, that I thought it would be fun to do some unique layouts in unexpected colors with the leftover pieces. Funny thing is, I think I like these versions almost better than the original!
I used the Poinsettia Cover plate die and Concord and 9th cardstock, and inlaid some of the die cut pieces, leaving other ones open. I think the unexpected colors give them a modern and graphic feel! I layered them on white cardbases, and then added sentiments from Peacebird, stamped in black ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder for some extra shine. The secondary banner sentiments are from Warmth and Wonder, stamped and heat embossed as well, and then both sentiments are added with foam adhesive for dimension. I finished off with a few Dazzling Clear gems, for even more sparkle! Here is a closer look at these finished cards:
