Hello, and welcome! It is time for Challenge #4 at Cricut 360! Once again - I had such a blast browsing all the great entries to last weeks challenge! Thanks to all who participated and joined the fun! This week, the challenge is to create something to celebrate The Great Outdoors. (Check out the bottom to see what you have a chance to win this week!)
I made this card for my husband's birthday - that's why it's so simple and manly! Those are some of the hardest cards for me to make, and I am always looking for ideas! It is amazing how difficult it is to be a girl and still make something that a guy would like! My husband loves getting outdoors, going for a drive in the mountains, camping, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, fishing - you name it! And I am a total tree person - that probably sounds funny, but wherever we travel, I'm always noticing the trees and how cool they all are. So that's how this card came about - it's perfect for him!
I used Give a Hoot for the tree, tore some pattern paper for the bottom of the card, and used a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. Finished off with a little faux stitching around the edges with my white gel pen. Also pop-dotted the tree from the background for a bit of dimension.
And...here you have it! This is the prize for this week! So make sure and head over to Cricut 360 to link up your project celebrating The Great Outdoors!!!
I love the stitching. Tree-Mendous card as well.
