Good morning! If you are looking for the Peachy Princess Blog Hop, click HERE or scroll down to the last post (pssst...if you didn't notice, there is a giveaway as well!).
This morning I wanted to share the card I made for this weeks Getting Sketchy Challenge with My Favorite Things. Here is my take on the sketch:
And here is the sketch:
As you can see, I rotate the sketch 180 degrees, so the flower was on the bottom left, instead of top right. Other than that, I stuck pretty exactly to the sketch.
I used some of my favorite My Minds Eye papers, and did some machine stitching.
The image is one of my Pure Innocence sets, which I stamped and colored with Copics, right onto the pattern paper. Used an EK Success edge punch for the notebook paper edge, and put a heart shaped doily behind it. The edges are also inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo.
Finished off with a flower cut with my Cricut using Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, with a Papertrey Ink button and twine on top of it.
Well - that's it for now! I'm hoping to get some more time to play today, between homeschooling and that thing we call housework...wonder why that always has to get in the way! Oh well, I am grateful for a house to take care of!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Oh that is the sweetest...adorable! ;) Hugs x

This is a whole lot of sweetness! I am really loving seeing the background paper through the coloring. Sure wish I knew how to use these markers. Hee! Hee! I really love all of the sewing in the card as well. Perfection as always!
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great! It has so many extra details that just pop out at you---the stitching, the doily, the flower and twine--so, so pretty!
