Good morning!!! I'm super excited today, since it is new release and reveal day with My Craft Spot! I seriously think this is my favorite release yet! And, I also have the opportunity to give away a set (Joy to the World - my fav!) to one lucky person who leaves me a comment today - in fact, there is a stamp set being given away at each stop along the hop - so make sure and not miss a single one! If you arrived here from Kate, then you are in the right spot. If not - make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning! I also posted the entire hop line-up at the bottom of this post, right after the photo's of the new sets.
Since I was out of town when my package with the new release came, I didn't get to play with the new dies until now. I couldn't wait to give these a try - and I wasn't disappointed at all with how wonderful they are! I used the banner die to cut some self-adhesive cork I picked up while we were on vacation - and it cut WONDERFULLY!!! Here is what I made:
Like I said, I had some self-adhesive cork that I cut the banners with, then I punched a couple tiny holes in the tops to thread my natural jute twine through (available HERE from My Craft Spot). I cut the star bursts in red using Papertrey Ink cardstock, then cut the white circles, stamped my letters with Pebbles Chalk Ink, and inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
I stuck the cork right on the card base, then used pop-dots to attach the letters. Added a couple bows to the ends of the banner, leaving the ends long for a bit of a whimsical touch, then added stick on pearls to the centers of the bows.
My pattern paper is by My Mind's Eye, and is a Designer's Accessory Pad in the All is Bright collection. This page was the perfect frame for my banners!
Finished it all off by using a kraft paper card base. I seem to have this little addiction to kraft paper lately...but I don't see that changing anytime soon either!
I am also entering this in the Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks: Canvas, Cork, and Burlap Challenge on the Moxie Fab World.
So, it's time I send you off to your next stop - the ever so talented Amber!
And...in case you wanted to see them - here is a picture of all the new sets! They are all available for purchase now at My Craft Spot too!!!
Here is the entire blog hop line-up, just in case you get lost along the way:
