Good morning! I can't BEGIN to tell you how excited I am to share today's post with you! Today kicks off the first day of the week of sneak peeks for the fall release at My Craft Spot, and we are starting off with my FAVORITE part of the new release!
I have spent this past weekend canning peaches, pickles, concord grape juice, and pickled jalapenos - now just have to tackle pears, and make a box of gravenstein apples into pies to freeze! Needless to say, I love jars - so since we are sharing peeks today of the new Jar Basics stamp set and coordinating Jars Metal Die set, I am a happy camper! Here is what I made for today:

Eeek! Isn't that jar the perfect size?!?!?! I so very much love it! (Sorry if I'm a broken record!) I used the jar die and cut it twice, once out of cardstock (which I also stamped the jar on), and once out of vellum. I machine stitched them together leaving the top open, then filled it with some of the new sequins My Craft Spot is now carrying. I used sequins from Lemon Meringue, and the green ones from Christmas Candy. Then I sewed across the top to close it up. I cut the top part of the jar die, stamped it, then attached it to the top. Then I wrapped around some Natural Jute Twine and some Spring Green Traditional Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot and tied in a bow.
I stamped the sentiment, which is also part of the Jar Basics stamp set onto the vellum using black Staz-on ink. I have found that this is the perfect ink for stamping on vellum - stays put very nicely!
I used one of my other favorite My Craft Spot Dies - 4" Doily Die to cut a doily from Avery Elle kraft cardstock to layer behind the jar. I used foam adhesive to attach the jar for a bit of dimension, and also curled up the edges of the doily a bit as well.
Added some background pattern paper from Crate Paper's DIY Shop 6x6 paper pad, and some black bling strips from Eyelet Outlet (you can find them HERE) to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure and swing over to My Craft Spot to check out what the rest of the design team put together, and to see what the giveaway is for today!
I'll see you back throughout the week with more sneak peeks. (I'll be skipping a few days since several of the sets are Halloween and our family doesn't celebrate Halloween, so I'm sitting those out!) But can't wait to share the rest of the release with you! Have a great day!!!
What a great card and I love how you used the vellum. Hugs, Jen xx
