Good morning! Just sharing a card I made recently attempting to recreate the "bokeh" style with my Neat and Tangled Stamps:
I have been seeing a lot of cards lately that mimic the "bokeh" technique in photography, and wanted to try my hand at it. I used the solid circle image from Merry and Bright, and used 3 different colors of ink to stamp randomly on a piece of cardstock - stamping 2 times each time I inked to give even more color differences.
Here is a little peak at the stamping under the vellum:
I die cut a rectangle using my Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangles, then cut it again in vellum to layer over the top. I punched a couple of holes at the top, then threaded the two layers together with some sheer ribbon. I stamped the sentiment from Sparkle and Shine on the vellum with Staz-on ink, then glued some Flat Matte Marshmallow sequins on the vellum to reinforce the "bokeh" effect. Finally, I mounted the entire thing with foam adhesive on my cardbase.
I'd love to hear what you think! Have you tried this technique on a card yet? Or do you want to try it sometime?
Heather ~ What a soft and subtle card here! Simply stunning!
