Good morning! I can't tell you how excited I am to be joining in with a very special blog hop today celebrating the brand new Reason to Smile release from Simon Says Stamp!!! This is one packed and BEAUTIFUL release I can tell you! I have had so much fun playing with everything already - and can't wait to use it all LOTS more! (I already share a card HERE with the release if you are looking for more inspiration!)
The hop today is LOADED with inspiration - and there is a GIVEAWAY at every stop - so make sure and leave a comment before you leave! You should have arrived here from Kelly Latevola's blog - and your next stop is Lucy Abrams.
Here is the card I made to share today - entirely stamped - NO pattern paper at ALL!!!
I LOVE daffodils, and was super excited just a couple days ago to see a BUNCH of them blooming near our house! Spring is definitely beginning to arrive! :)

I LOVE daffodils, and was super excited just a couple days ago to see a BUNCH of them blooming near our house! Spring is definitely beginning to arrive! :)
I had lots of fun watercoloring up a bunch of these beautiful flowers and leaves from Friendship Blooms, then die cutting them with the coordinating dies. I stamped that amazing Gingham Background on white cardstock, then added an overlay piece cut with Wavy Scallop Stitches and added my sentiment on there, also from Friendship Blooms. Now it was time to add the flowers!
This was my second time using the Press and Seal Saran Wrap technique that I had been seeing floating around lately - basically, I arranged all the flowers how I wanted them, tucking and adjusting until I was happy, then layed the Press and Seal over the top, pressed down to pick up each little piece, turned it over to apply my adhesive, and then was able to lay the entire thing in place all at once. It was WONDERFUL!!!
The final finishing touch? The ever elusively hard to photograph Wink of Stella! I added a good coat of it to the flowers - you can't see it in the pictures above, but this next photo shows it a little - as well as a closer look at those fun daffys and their watercoloring!
As I mentioned before - there is a GIVEAWAY from Simon Says Stamp - so make sure and leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win! There will be a prize pack valued at approximately $50 given away at EVERY stop along the hop - winners will be picked next Tuesday, February 23rd.
Here is the entire blog hop line-up:
