Watercolor Branches Sympathy Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Sharing a super simple sympathy card that I made this past week using a beautiful die and stamped sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. Since sympathy cards are always hard to make when you need them, I always try to make sure I have some in my stash so they are ready when needed. I love how this simple design works so well with the sentiment on this card.

I started off by die cutting the Clustered Leaves Wafer Die from Watercolor Cardstock - trimming out the center and being left with two different leaf sprigs. I then did some ink smooshing with 3 shades of distress ink on each of them. It's hard to see the variation in the photos, but it adds some great depth with the different colors. The purple leaves used Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, and Wilted Violet. The blue uses Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, and Chipped Sapphire.

Once those dried nice and thoroughly, I planned an arrangement I liked for them on a white cardbase, and carefully adhered them down. I then stamped a simple sentiment from Sketched Flowers Stamp Set - I love the elegant font on this stamp set!
